Cool.. someone in the same boat as I am who can relate.
80s was a completely different time when SW became a cultural phenomenon. Back then we had cinemas, books, tv, arcades, board games and sports to entertain us..
IIRC, SW was in cinemas for almost 3 years (started off on 16 screens IIRC). People practically talked about TESB for an entire year.
TROS was good but the experience was over the moment i walked out of the room after the credits.
The PT/ST while entertaining didnt hold the same magic because the times evolved.

@Kraven Head Hey first of all hello I have not seen you around these parts! Second it is great meeting someone who shares the “older SW fan” perspectives!!

Yes I vividly remember the word of mouth about TESB! Also, interested in your thoughts about what you felt walking out of the theater upon first viewing of TPM.....I can remember people being visibly perturbed about Jar Jar....

Go to my profile page and read my “About me” information, it will resonate with you...

    Again, great to meet you!!

Likewise mate. Ive been posting on and off for years. Problem in, IMO, the Cantina is too big and I often miss out on good exchanges because i rarely visit many sub-sections.

    Cheers, KH

Lol, so that's what they should've picked for the second Anthology movie. :p
Interesting. I haven't seen the movie in a while now and I don't recall that specific part, but I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for it next time I see it (which will be soon, hopefully, as I'm planning to do another saga rewatch).

For me... Padme's Ruminations scene in ROTS!!! Absolutely loved that scene. No dialogue, just emotion and music and both acted that scene out quite well.

My initial thought to this is the moment in which Luke Skywalker looks over at the campsite and he sees spirits of his father and yoda and Kenobi. That moment in of itself is a emotional reference to how we cope and how we react when we lose someone we love or knew but at the same time we acknowledge them as they were so he saw them as they were to him. I suppose this moment has different meanings to others but I like it a ton for the symbolic nature that it is in our custom to recognize the loss as we saw them.
