Now this is a great idea! I've never liked how Lucas handled Anakin's turn to the Dark Side. There just it's any conviction and too many holes in there for me to get fully onboard. I've come up with or seen a good way to achieve a feasible reason for Anakin turning with his family being the main source of it. The concept of him or his family being exiled by the order he's a part of (his whole identity) is a wonderful idea. Great motivation and an understandable turning point for the character. Perhaps have this happen over the course of the movie? Have the exile occur early on? Good stuff.

Exactly what holes are you talking about? And that was your idea of a great idea?

Thanks for your support, I'd be up for it to happen over the course of the movie.

for example the fact of becoming the worst-villain-ever, after being the most-lover-ever. But this thread is not intended to detect the plot holes between the PT and the OT, isn't it?

if you asked for "what was your idea of a great idea", starting from a little blond adorable boy to end with the most-villain-ever was a great idea. The fact is the way this has been written has several severe weaknesses. But this thread is not intended to detect the plot holes between the PT and the OT, isn't it?

If Anakin hadn't returned to Palpatine's office then Palpatine wouldn't have toyed with Mace Windu and ended him sooner. He would have initiated Order 66, and Anakin would have either been caught in the crossfire, or more likely escaped since no Clone troopers were present at the time and no future Sith Lord was leading them. He would have evacuated Padme since she was his only concern and he and Obi-Wan and the other surviving Jedi would have rallied together without Darth Vader to exterminate them. He would have been a large part of the resistance since he's incapable of relaxing or laying low, and no storm trooper or inquisitor would be powerful enough to combat him. Luke and Leia would have been raised as force users, adding to the resistance's might and the Rebel Alliance and the fall of th Empire would have happened sooner. Considering the OT and PT are all about him, his presence as a hero would have changed everything.

    I don't understand what you're saying here.

Considering that Mace was one of three within the Jedi Order who could take on Palpatine (according to Lucasfilm, when "Revenge of the Sith" was first released), I find this hard to believe. I don't think anyone really knows what would have happened if Anakin had not interfered.

He would be a Jedi Master and probably the next leader.
