What if "Solo" is bad-ass!!

I mean.

I assume people that like it will say so, and people that dislike it will say so.

I for one was very skeptical about the idea of a Solo movie. But after seeing that trailer I'm very excited to see it. I know people who are bashing it already, and that is what the fanbase has become. I will be the first one to say it is awesome if it is. I'm more excited now for Solo than I ever was for TLJ. Im starting to like these anthology movies better than the new saga instalments.

Kenobi can be a thought provoking story about a man who lost his faith in himself and regains it after overcoming his material needs via a spriritual quest in the desert.....maybe even add in a dark mace windu who wants to kill or train luke but really for vengeance a material need and you have yourself logan on tatoowine. Obi wan being essentially a arthouse piece that ends in spiritual enlightenment than any real fight of the flesh.

I am giving SOLO a chance and surely hoping we will be back here talking about it, say late on May 25th or early May 26th talking about some significant badassery. I love Ron Howard's movies!!

Even if Solo turns out to be literally the best motion picture ever made -- revolutionizing the medium & raising the bar for all films to come -- haters are still going to hate it. As is always the case with Star Wars films, haters have decided long ago that they are going to hate this film and nothing is going to change that. They create missery for themselves by doing their best to hate what they ought to love; "fans" are the worst!

The rest of us ought to ignore the haters as best we can -- even though they hateful minority always shouts the loudest -- and get on with enjoying these wonderful films

Exactly, an example is World Class Bull Sh!tt€r$ on Utube & Patreon. Those guys "already" hate Solo long b4 the trailer. They already made up thier minds because they hate KK & RH.

That's the same thing as somebody looking at Larry Bird in his youth & saying "he's not gonna make it in the NBA cuz he's white". Or quartrback Warren Moon & saying "he'll never become a great QB because he is black."

They proved the doubters RONG.

 

If someone has a legitimate grievance against a Star Wars movie they've seen, that's fine. There are parts of the films that I don't like as well.

But if someone is actively rooting against a movie they haven't even seen? In that case, I don't think it's even being a gatekeeper to say that person is not a Star Wars fan.

edit: Just to note, it's totally fine to be worried or apprehensive about stuff coming out. I get that!
But to automatically write this off or even wish the film failure is, like I said, to forfeit one's place as a fan.

 

I was very skeptical of the idea for Rogue One. Then I saw the trailers and got excited. Then I saw the movie . . . . . . . I’m remaining skeptical until I actually see this thing. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

I loved the idea of Rogue One from the beginning. I liked the idea of a Star Wars war movie. The first teaser trailer did not impress me, but when the official trailer released then when I watched the movie, I was not dissappointed.
My expectations for Solo, were so-low they can only go up. The trailer really eased my resevations. But we will see. It can't be but so bad. Right?

 

Give him a chance, if you don't like then thats fair. Swashbuckler, pirate, scoundrel, scruffy looking it better be good haha!

Yessir, many of us take 'em that'a way, forfeiting their standing. Unfortunately it don't silence them folk. That there, for me, is when I apply what I mentioned up there.
