    Yeah, of course it will be badass. We know that much from the trailer. Problem is, in our post-TLJ world, it's apparent that a lot of fans really only want it to be badass. They would rather have a "badass" villain than a complex villain. They would rather have "badass" fight scenes than character building,

    I would rather have a well-written, character-driven movie of Kenobi babysitting than a thoughtless, badass romp about smugglers. But here's hoping Solo is more than that.

    I hope its good. I just doubt it will be. New Lucasfilm is losing me...but I'm not completely out yet. They still have time to bring me back.

    @Jaxxon , you're a rabbit.

    That being established, I tend to agree. I'd love a character-driven film as well, but I think this was designed to just be a fun romp. (Can we say 'romp' here? I think we can)

    I don't chalk it up to 'post TLJ' though, as this film was well into production when TLJ was a thing/not a thing. I LOVED TLJ, but many didn't. I'm at peace with that.

    None of that changes the fact that you are a rabbit. A RABBIT FOR CHRISSAKE!!!!! ;)

    Same here dude. I was totally NOT liking the idea of a Han Solo film... But I had already decided I'd give it a chance. Now that I've seen the trailer, I'm on board 100%. I'm actually excited about seeing it.

    Like someone else said, I just want to be told a story. Entertain me for two hours and make me forget the crap world I live in. Do that and I'm happy as a clown.

    To be quite honest, I miss the days of moviegoing before internet, and internet pundits.

    And I watch Jedi Council and listen to Forcecenter and Resistance Broadcast every week. But they aren't haters, they are constructively critical and don't blow out rhetoric everyday to try buck against the established system and get clicks.

    So there ya go. All I look for in star wars is a way out of this life...like really.

    I look forward to SOLO...with a whiskey...and some dice or something.
