What is "Force Back"

Most of you guys are speculating that it has to do with time travel but I personally feel like "force back" is an action the knights maneuver that is quite literally a strong force wall that pushes people back. But I might be taking the term too literally.

 

I had two initial thoughts...

1. A lot of folks have suggested something to do with time travel. I'll change that up a bit and suggest that its a way to harness/channel the force (either from a person, many persons, or perhaps a planet or other non-human source) to change an aspect of something that happened in the past without actually traveling there. Perhaps to change a critical decision or moment that the Ren have the ability to somehow focus in on. You could go off on a tangent here and speculate that this ties into what Plagueis was trying to accomplish in terms of preventing death.

2. This was the more likely thought that came to me. The "Force Back" could simply be a channeling of the force (through similar means as mentioned above) to push an entire fleet of starships into a strategic position for the remnants of the Empire to attack.
