    ^ You can only get a white blade by "healing" a lightsaber that has had its crystal corrupted and perverted by the Dark Side, and Rey constructed her new saber from scratch and used parts of her staff to do so.

    Why not put her in Tatooine in TFA? Would be make more sense to her.

    I liked the yellow lightsaber. A callback to the yellow lightsaber that came with the original Luke action figure back in the day maybe?

    Both of the new lightsabers we see Rey have in this movie have connections to Jedi Sentinels and the Jedi Temple Guards. The hilt design of the double-bladed lightsaber that her 'dark' mirror uses is a direct callback to the lightsabers those characters used, as is the yellow blade of the saber she built for herself.
