    She will take the name Skywalker in honor of Luke. Luke will guide her as a force ghost throughout IX. At the end she will begin to help train the next generation of Jedi knights at the new Skywalker Academy.

    What if she's some sort of organic robot like that woman in Dark Matter. It'd be kind of cheap copying off another sci-fi idea, but it would certainly explain her ability to know and learn things so quickly... also, maybe they (gasp) were able to infuse midiclorians into her... omg, please no.

    I feel bad for the folks that didn't like or get the decisions in this film. My only advice to the people open to liking this movie is to read the Art of The Last Jedi and The Visual Dictionary. There's some good stuff that help supplement the movie.

    I had a similar thought, although I had her using the name Skywalker as less of an homage and more of a recruitment tool for her new Jedis-in-training. She would have a little more clout if she sold herself as the daughter of the legendary Luke Skywalker.
