What is the idea behind your username?

My username has been my username for 15-ish years. It's meant to be read, "Tina, Al's girl." I made it when I got into the Quantum Leap fandom. My favorite character was/is Al Calavicci, and his girlfriend was the redheaded Tina.

 

"Paulo Henrique" was the name chosen by my parents for me.

 

It's my name.

This feels a bit like a rite of passage for the modern nerd!

"Moral Hazard is an [insurance] concept saying that people will take risks if they have an incentive to do so. The idea is that people might ignore the moral implications of their choices."

E.g. I'm a bit reckless with my laptop - a 5 year warranty that covers wear and tear means I'm no longer 'accountable' for certain actions, someone else is. I'm dis-counting certain personal responsibilities and this creates a moral hazard.

I like the concept because it's is everywhere from SW character arcs to modern fictional ideas of "limited liability" and corporate "person-hood". Anakin's wanting to use dark force power to save Padme shielded him from his personal responsibility/moral implications of his killing sprees. Anything shielding people from accountability for their actions can be dangerous.

...That and I thought it sounded cool, played on the dichotomy of light & dark, power, and legitimate use of force in general.

 

I wrote a movie back in junior high that was a spin-off of Star Wars set in our modern times. The character I played was Tom Vox, a descendant of Star Wars: Demolition's Wade Vox. I am currently in the process of writing an original sci-fi/fantasy novel using the name Voxx for my main character.

 

I've been working on and off with it for a few years now. I hope one day I finally finish it!

 

Years ago, I had a series of short fanfics centered around a character I created. He was a pirate captain who became a smuggler when his crew mutinied. As a smuggler, he came across the Kessel Run and enjoyed it so much that he would only ever take a job if it included the Run. He eventually came to be known as "the KesselRunner" in certain smuggler circles. He would go on to become a privateer for the New Republic, but the nickname stuck.

When i was young i wanted to create a book. (I was in a stage of reading Lotr, Harrypotter, The Starwars Novels Eragon etc....)

Ventoreck was the name of the first antagnist. It is a combination of Voldemort, my child hood Sith name, "Darth Vent, and Reck...I was quite silly at the time, but it stuck with me.

PS: IT is also unqiue, i have not found any other name like it.

I guess I picked the name as I wanted to have something that was connected to Luke (yes, I'm a huge Luke fan) and the Light Side. And I rather like to think that I am a decent person. And as you know, eyes are a window to the soul; thus, lighteye.

It sounded nice while being neutral enough, which was good as any a reason

When I was a baby I use to ram my head into the wall and say "owey" My father said it sounded like I was saying "Harvey" so he started calling me "Harvey Wallbanger" with no idea of the reference of the drink. It stuck as Knick names do and now I am Harvey Wallbanger. My real name is Josh but unless you are a close friend you probably only know me as Harv. (its what everyone in my small town calls me by) After years I just didn't like the way the E looked in Harvey so I dropped it and whenever I make a handle its harvywallbanger one word. Other aliases are: Bang, Banger, Wallbanger, Wall, and my favorite of course is Josh.

EDIT> and yes I have been in a bar where I have ordered a harvywallbanger just to feel cool. Nobody knows what it is unless they have been through bartender school and even then they differ. I'm talking the bartenders. Nobody knows how to make one. If you look it up online you will know why. The origin is surrounded in myth and different ingredients for each.

I like the first one I came across when I realized my name was a drink. I was 18. Born in 1976. I said no way that's my name! They stole it! He said it is a drink comprised of every bottle they have in stock in equal parts. That is a Harvy Wallbanger. Fact or fiction I like the latter as it was told to me that day.

 

My nick name here is Light Savior_47. For me is because i love the light side of the force.I believe that the light is our salvation in our life.The number 47 is my favorite number....

 

Quite simply my name fits everything I've ever enjoyed about the SW universe. I came up with Sithbitch but that was apparently offensive, and it was changed. I have always been drawn to the darkside characters of the series. Yet my closest allies say I am in the grey area. Both light and dark. I remember being young and thinking that Vader was the coolest most mysterious creature I'd ever seen. Then came the Emperor and the Sith. Although I truly wanted to side with them (and still
do) thinking them sexy and reverent, I find that in real life I am occasionally called a heroin who is selfless. Damniit all to hell!
I wish I had come up with something really interesting like some if you, yet I find myself much like Ren and the Skywalkers....always skirting the edge. Never quite fitting the mold.

 

Made my name up as a gamer tag and used it as my name in Star Wars Galaxies, 7 is my favorite number, and coming up with a different spelling of to make it look cooler was all I did. Pretty has stuck with me since then. I have a few names I use but this one is my favorite, it's simple and no one ever uses it.

 

I've never quite forgiven old George for excluding Lapti Nek in the digitized remake of ROTJ so my username is in homage not only to the song but also to Sy Snootles and the Max Rebo Band. I think touring with the band to all the most retched hives of scum and villainy would be the greatest way to witness all the illicit goings on in the Star Wars underworld, not to mention, working for a band classified as '****-wailers' would be a great conversation opener.

 

Well let's see, I prefer the Jedi over the Sith, my last name is Lovett and my birth year is 1992

 

Back before the Cantina was even around we got news that they were changing the name of the planet Korriban to Moraband. Some of us got pissed off and jokingly starting doing the same with some of the characters names in the comments of the news page side, like Han Yolo, ect. I can up with Duke Groundrunner and decided to change username to it, that was a that was back in early 2014.
