SPECULATION What is the worse thing that could happen in Ep VIII in your opinion

Thankfully, i doubt they will go the time travel route in star wars. I think people are overly paranoid about time travel cuz rian Johnson made one movie about time travel. It'd be like everybody thinking Robert zimekis(sp) is going to put time travel in because he made back to the future.

As far as the younger actors recast thing- i think, at least in the saga films, we won't have to worry about that until the next trilogy at the minimum.

I totally understand why you think it's heresy...a big part of me is wondering why they are doing a han solo prequel. On the other hand i have to try to remind myself that ewan worked out in spite of any other PT flaws, so I'm taking a wait and see approach.

 

The short answer: money!

I think it's a HUGE mistake though....fans aren't going to go for it.

"Hi, I'm Han Solo..." Um, no you're not. lol

There are soo many better stories that could be told.....with all new characters that don't need to be rebooted by a younger actor.

Re: fans...fans of your and my age (30s-40s) are gonna have a harder time swallowing it than the younger crowd, I'll agree to that.

It does bear noting at least that the han movie was on George's boiler before he cashed out, so there is that going for it. And again, in spite of all my scepticism, I'm gonna have to wait and see. They're gonna make it anyway.

Another movie that skimps out on the prequel history (yeah, I'm not a big Prequel fan, but the events of the prequels is canon history and should be explored more there's only a 54 year time difference between 3 and 8)

We don't find out Rey's parentage for ANOTHER film.

yeh totally agree, no Obi-Wan or Palpatine. Im not sure how they would write it and make it work but i like the thought of Rey and kylo being related too.

 

The worst thing that could happen in Ep8, in my opinion, is if we find out that Chewbacca and Maz have kids.

To be serious Luke being killed in VIII would be a big downer for me and loosing interest in watching IX.
