Gotta be the two bored stormtroopers, on ANH talking about the BT-16 (yeah it’s quite a thing) or on R1 as well.....they remind me of the guards in the old PC game “Thief” that used to grumble to themselves , it was hilarious “ohhh I hate this job”

 

The "tall" stormtrooper banging his head while walking under the Death Star control room door.

 

yes that is forever enshrined in blooper lore. Nearly as much as Eomer’s sword falling out of his scabbard as he got off the horse in LOTR

 

This thread is intriguing....got me thinking.....another "trivial" character that I think is really cool is the sentry on the top of the pole in ANH, at Yavin. Does it drive you crazy thinking "how the hell did that guy get up there?" I thought that as a kid when I saw it in 1977!!

Funny backstory on this scene....Lucas had a vision for what he wanted, and his crew took a large plastic trash can, turned it upside down, mounted it on a pole. Had an extra get into it and they precariously lifted it vertical and took the shots.

 

I've mentioned it before, but I love how the ARC-170's in Revenge of the Sith have ailerons on the wings. Completely useless in space, but 100% practical in-atmosphere.

 

Something that I only noticed recently is that droids can forget things. It seems like it shouldn't be possible but when R2-D2 is searching the Death Star computer for Han, Chewie, Luke, Obi Wan and Leia and C-3PO asks where they could be, R2 suggests using the comm link. C-3PO says that he forgot and turned it off. So droids can forget things like organic beings. Weird.

 

The look on Canady's face is everything.
Just everything you need to know about him and how he feels about other leadership decisions.

Somewhere in ANH, there is a shot just before we find Obi and Luke into Obi's house.
In this shot, as we see Obi's house in the desert, we can ear a frog croaking.
It's funny, in the middle of the desert...

 

There's a moment when BB-8 is going through the desert on Jakku as the sun sets that you see a puppety alien creature emerge from the sand.

Just a great moment that gives off OT vibes for me.

 

I fell the same when I see this scene and I do know why. It makes me think of Hem Dazon in the Mos Eisley Cantina.

 

For me, the best ‘quirks’ are:

DJ’s stutter,
The way C3PO walks with his arms up
Anakin’s “whining”
Jabba the Hutt’s laugh
That gross clicking/ swallowing noice the tarantula guy (forgot his name) on Clone Wars makes.
The mannerism and “roger roger” of the battle droids
Han Solo’s annoyed “look” he’d give people
Han Solo’s thoughtfulness while pressing buttons on Millennium Falcon (not just random button pushing like other sci fi).
Sand People raising spear over their head accompanied by war cry.

 

Exactly. Actions certainly speak so much louder than words. It says so much about a character than can ever be conveyed in some speech. Nuance goes such a long way.

 

Like the OT... the 80s did it better.....

 

Not sure if this is appropriate for this thread but here it is anyway. I only realized after maybe hundreds of watches over decades that the toy/model that Luke plays with is his T-16 that he bullseyed wamprats with and that it's parked outside the door.
