LOL. I have to say I sort of expected that.

101 Dalmatians was entertaining but that was it.

I went to see Maleficent under protest LOL (Turns out all my friends wanted to go see Maleficent to the movie theatre but I didn't. Let's say I'm not a big fan of Angelina Jolie LOL). Anyhow, I liked the premise too but that was it.

In my case, I guess I enjoyed Cinderella (the live-action movie) because it was mostly the same as the animated movie but with certain twists. Some of my friends liked better "Ever After" but I thought it was OK. (Especially for all the cross-references from other TV series - "Downton Abbey", "Game of Thrones", etc) Cate Blanchett did a pretty good villain there.

i haven't watched the new Cinderella, not sure how i feel about the impending Beauty and the Beast either.
haven't seen Ever After either. i might be a bit too jaded or cynical for this sort of thing ~ hahaha

and yeah, Angelina didn't help me enjoy that movie at all either. i likewise watched it under protest ~ hahaha

The 101 Dalmatians live action film scared me so much that we left the showing to go see The Emperor's New Groove instead. lol

I'm hopeful the Beauty and the Beast live action film will be lovely as it does have the incredibly talented Emma Watson as Belle. As well as Obi-Wa... err Ewan McGregor as Lumiere and Ian McKellen as Cogsworth. :)

As you mentioned Beauty and the Beast I am looking forward to it. Was looking forward to The Little Mermaid as well but sadly looks like that maynot happen.

I hav never been a true fan of the live action cinderella because it felt too much like a generic movie...then again so did Maleficent..

So hard to choose. I've always had a soft spot for Mulan though. "Let's get down to business, to defeat, the Huns!"

Emperor's New Groove is another favorite, such a funny movie with a perfect voice cast.

The Incredibles is probably my favorite Pixar one, it's the only good Fantastic Four movie ever made ;).

More Recently I really enjoyed Wreck It Ralph and Zootopia.

Another one that always gets me laughing and feeling is Lilo and Stitch.

It truly is amazing how stacked Disney's back catalogue is.

Tangled. Rapunzel really wants to see the lights, she has a severe obsession for something beautiful that doesn't mean much for anyone else, and I respect that lol She follows her dream, and finds love AND her family along the way. It's a story that all children should watch before they're brainwashed into believing that they can't do/be/have what they want.

I love films made by Disney and especially Pixar. They usually deliver on their premise and more often than not become instant classics. My favourite Disney film is probably The Lion King and for Pixar it is The Incredibles, which is also my second favourite movie in general (right after TESB.)
