What one element would you change of the Prequels?

I think after ATOTC when Kenobi discovered Anakin & Padme's relationship had gone further he ordered Anakin for the sake of his jedi future to split with Padme this apparently happened before the secret wedding on Naboo at the end of the movie, Kenobi had been in this position in TCW series with Satine off course Anakin did not listen, I don't think it was a concern of Padme being unfaithful it was more like he was tired of his former-master telling him what to do for once he was the one with power & control in his mind.

 

Having only one thing I can alter.. hmm.. It's gonna have to hit two birds with one stone..

Okay, if I could only change one thing, just one thing... I would tell George to change TPM into flashback sequences.
So Episode I now becomes a hybrid of TPM&AotC. This allows Lucas to knock the orgins of the Clone Wars out in one film. It also allows him to group cast the actors. It also gives him two movies from which to actually have 'wars' instead of 'peace' and three movies to develop a palatable relationship between Anakin and Padme. It also forces Lucas to scuttle his JarJar character in favor of something else that is hopefully less stupid. And finally, by getting the 10% and 20% movies homagenized into a 30% film, Lucas can split the 70% film, RotS, into two movies, which will keep the end from being rushed like it was and allow him to finish the Kamino arc. So the background source material distribution now looks like 30/35/35% instead of 10/20/70%.
And one more thing, becuase of this 'chain reaction' the Palpatine/Windu fight occurs at the end of Episode II and is not 'nerfed' to keep it from overshadowing the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel.
It doesn't fix everything, but it's the best I can do by only changing one thing. At least I didn't waste my shot:

 

I would have made the PT take place much earlier that it did. The Empire would have had already been established. When you think of an "empire" you don't think of a single tyrant ruling for about a decade and a half.

I have never been able to reconcile how the Clone Wars happened about 15 years prior and everyone in the galaxy seems to have no idea what a Jedi is or believe the Force is real.

 

Episode 3 and 4 have a 19 year gap.
The galaxy is huge.I don't believe that all the species in the Galaxy have had experience with Jedis.
Luke didn't know about the Force due to his life on Tatooine.His Uncle wouldn't have told him anything about it.
Only Han has ever said he doesn't believe in the Force.
In a galaxy that is ruled by the Empire,who wiped out the jedi more or less,it's safe to act as if the Force/Jedis never existed.Especially since they still(According to the Rebels TV show) "Collect" people who show signs of "Special" ability.

 

Also throw in that Jabba laughs at the idea of a guy named "Luke Skywalker" could be a Jedi Knight after having dealt personally with a Jedi name "Anakin Skywalker" some 30 years prior.

I would change the transition of Anakin's fall to the Dark Side. The fact he felt awful for killing Mace Windu then all of a sudden starts killing kids with no remorse feels really rushed.

 

I agree I would have chosen his duel with Obi Wan as his moment of turning to the darkside.

.Get Rid of Jar Jar for comedic relief

.Introduce C-3po as the comedic relief,Make him be the protocol droid that greets Obi Wan and Qui Gon they capture him for intelligence

.Merge Count Douku and Qui Gons Characters.Make Qui Dooku Palpitines Spy,Think of How Much more cool the lines in AOTOC would be when Padme says I think Qui Gon is behind this,Mace Windu can say"thats not possible Qui gon was once A jedi who fought to save your home world.

.Make Anikan Slightly older 14-16

.A romance Between Obi One and Padme in Phantom Menace

.Make Dart Maul A Sith Inquisitor Let him live to be in Aotoc

.Complete Overhaul on characters of The black security guard and the Bald Pilot ,aswell as the The guy with the eye patch in AOTOC ,These characters are useless.


.Attack of The Clones
.Off Screen Bens and Padmes romance dosent Work out but we the audience see that Padme is now realy close to Anikan after the Assaination attempt in the opening of film ,they make out.

Qui Dooku along with the droid army blow up the Jedi Temple Kills a bunch of jedi along with Just blowing up Corscant with the Droid Army.

.The Clone Army comanded by palpitine Comes to Save Corscant this charade sells some of the Jedi on the clones and their creation not being suspicious Anikan being one of them,While Yoda,Mace and Obi are not trusting,just want to capture and get answers from Boba fett or Qui Gon.Making the Jedi Divided and easier to conquer

.Back on Geonosis,During The battle Darth Maul Takes Padme as A Hostage Anikan kills Maul,anikan keeps His Light Red Lightsaber.

.Boba Fett Kills A few Jedi in the battle but runs away.when Mace Windu comes after him

.Ill make A few things i would change for revenge of the sith when i feel like adding more i type with a mouse and on screen keyboard

My big change would be make Samuel L Jackson the security chief for Padme. Seriously everyone in the film were monks and politicians. I liked Mace but how much cooler would it have been if the shiny chromed out ship was his. Can't you hear the side chatter. "Some guys don't go for the shiny plating but common fellas we got the queen aboard. This ain't a spice freighter."

He could add that missing dimension that was really missing from the story.

 

Making Naboo into Alderaan wouldn't have made sense. Two reasons why:

1) If that was the case, Vader could've easily found out about Leia much earlier than 19 years after she was born (he just needs to track down where Padme is buried and squeeze information out of people). A big hole in logic here.

2) When Alderaan was blown up in ANH, Leia didn't even break down into tears (she just gasps); maybe she did off-screen but the audience isn't made to believe that. Why make this change of planets if in the future, the emotional attachment (from the audience) towards the planet Alderaan will be discredited and disregarded with Leia's lack of emotion?

 

Here's all I have to say to the PT haters/bashers, which are by the way really in the minority (as I'm about to prove) but have the loudest mouths spewing nonsensical and irrational stamements as they troll throughout the Internet making others fell bad for liking the PT due to their miguided feelings of nostalgia. One cannot carry an intelligent conversation with them because they act like conservative Republican who are afraid of change and are out out of touch with society. One can't take these PT haters/bashers seriously as the Star Wars fans they claim to be; I'll even go as far as calling their fandom into question:
