What other series do you obsess over?

Well I personally prefer the first three films. COTBP is a classic

DMC and AWE I like the story in them the most.

 

Wait... FIFTH ONE???

 

Harry Potter is my first love. Where are my fellow PotterHeads??

 

Another series I grew up with. Binge read the books in my teen years, and recently binge watched all the movies while recovering from wisdom teeth surgery last month.

 

What I love about DMV is that the VFX hold up a decade later and are even better than TFA .

I will never forget the day I received the 6th book...I went to the deumbeldore's death chapter and then spoiled it to my sisters .

 

I'm going to do a POTC trilogy review on Sunday. When the Harry Potter movies came out I was 11 so you could say I went to Hogwarts.

I've wanted to be in Gryffindor but Ravenclaw might be more for me because that's where the most studious students go and I always put my studies first during a semester.

You're younger than me and HO away released when I was around 8...so we were both 8...I've never been extremely studious but school has always just come naturally to me...I used to take those house tests and always sorted into Gryffindor 111% of the time

Well, nothing really matches Star Wars for me, which has been around all my life, but the obsessions shift according to what I am just consuming or waiting for.

at the moment only two things are close to SW:
Doctor Who
Game of Thrones and The Song of Ice and Fire books

but I remember similar crazy obsessions about other things in the past:
Harry Potter (looking forward to the Fantastic Beasts movies)
Battlestar Galactica renewed (binged it in several days so it didn't last too long)
Naruto
Lord of the Rings and Hobbit

And for inspiration some things I can't say I'm obsessed about, however I deeply love them:
Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy (All six books of the 5-part trilogy )
Scott Pilgrim (comics and Movie)
Terry Pratchett's Discworld books
Firefly show
Black Books (hilarious sitcom show full of black brittish humour)
Into the Wild (movie)

My friend is obsessed with Game of Thrones to a point that it's all he ever talks about, but then again why am I to complain when I've been there and done that with things like Transformers?

 

You should watch it...I never bought I'd like it until i gave it a shot .

Avatar/Last Air Bender/Legend of Korra
I'm not neck deep into these series or anything but I really enjoy the concept & design for both. The only action figure I own is the recently released Lin Beifong from Legend of Korra. I guess I figured it was the right time in my life to start buying action figures, so I started with her.

Art Books
I don't have much of a collection but I do have a good little stack going. I have a lot of Yoshitaka Amano books, I'm trying to get my hands on some more Ayami Kojima books and I will one day own both Necronomicons by H.R. Giger (RIP).

A Few Movies
Namely Star Wars, Spirited Away, and Alien/Aliens.

Game of Thrones
I see so many people mentioning Game of Thrones here!
I became interested in GRRM because of his book, Fevre Dream. That story is initially what lead me to his ASOIAF series. I can get on a serious roll when I start discussing ASOIAF theories. Oh, and I commonly go by the handle "Howland Reed" on other sites, which is one of my favorite shrowded-in-mystery characters from the series.

Comics...Maybe?
I just started reading the new Marvel Star Wars comics and I think I'm hooked. Very excited to see more Anakin & Obi Wan and I've been so giddy reading the Vader comics. I also just read Vader/Ghost Prison by Dark Horse, which of course I enjoyed, but I'm mostly interested in what's considered canon in the SW universe.

Oh, and I should mention...these that I just mentioned are the very first comics I've ever read. Yes, I read my first ever comic just last week.

I've never read any comics but maybe I'll guve The Star Wars ones a shot ...

 

I'm a pretty big fan of the Crash Bandicoot games for the original Playstation. I can't say I like much of the recent ones that came out since Naughty Dog's departure, but Crash: Twinsanity was good.

 

Big fan here! Love Harry Potter. And after watching Star Wars, I couldn't help but noticing a lot of things in common lol.

*All sci fi novels, especially early ones like, anything by Orwell, Asimov, Wells, P.K. Dick, Huxley ect.
*Fantasy novel series like the Ancient Future, Clan of the Cave Bear, the Witches of Eileanan, Aragon, the Wheel of Time ect.

Lesser obsessions:

*True Blood
*X files
*The Outer Limits
*Twin Peaks
*Samurai stuff like Lone Wolf and Cub
*Some cartoons like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Astroboy, Ghost in the shell
*Some new series like Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, the Tudors, DaVinchi's Demons, Killjoys.
*Teen Mom (Don't judge me, lol)

Though to be honest, with being a horse riding and snow skiing/boarding nut, I dont have as much funds as I'd like to devote to my literary and tv/movie passions.
