    Now that Episode IX seems devoid of any living links to the Skywalker's, what other characters would you like to see return from the OT or PT? Obviously Luke is assumed to return as a force ghost. But short of Luke playing a much bigger role, there are still past hero’s out there that could return in one form or another to help fill the void of Carrie Fishers absence. Who would you like to see contribute?

    Wedge - Doesn't have to be a big role but would like him to maybe turn up with a fleet as one of the allies they were referring too late in the movie. Totally fine if they need to re-cast him if the original actor doesn't want to return.

    Anakin - A good twist would be Anakin as a ghost that keeps showing up to Rey and not Luke. Luke can then keep chilling out with Kylo instead.

    I'd like to see Lando, but for some odd reason, I don't think thats going to happen. I'd also like to see some of the old OT aliens like rodians, twi'leks, Jawas, aqualish, chadra-fan, ree-yees, tessek, and rystall/theelin. Mara Jade look a like, reimagined, rogue squadron, and Xizor.

    You're forgetting kylo ren is from that bloodline.
    I'd like to see Lando. Maybe for a sleeper choice Hera. I don't think her post R1 fate has been addressed. Plus that would work in the twi'lek race. I agree about a couple of OT species, just not the ones created for the ST, meaning no Gungans, trade federation species (forgot what they're called), Besalisk, dugs, etc..

    What’s the point? They would just kill them off in favor of newer far less interesting characters anyway...For example we have an Episode 9 to look forward to that is going to star Poe, Finn and some character named Rose, but not Han Solo or Luke Skywalker...Is anyone excited about that?

    When I was watching TLJ I was really hoping that the master codebreaker was Lando so he could fill Han's role as the smuggler. I would be really excited if he was in Episode IX, but I feel like if they were going to put him in the trilogy, they would've done it already.

    I really like the idea of Wedge coming back in the next movie though. Maybe he could come back and teach a few things to Poe about leading a rebellion.

    To keep in line with the sequel trilogy I think they should bring back Lando, Wedge, IG88, Bib Fortuna, Mon Mothma and Lobot only to kill them all off in some really depressing illogical way (see Luke) or randomly kill them off and barely mention their death like Adrmiral Ackbar in favor of more screen time for Rose Tico ;)
