SPECULATION What should happen to the opening crawl post IX?

    So we know that the GOT writers and Rian Johnson are separate from the Episodes. Which means we still don't have a confirmation of X, XI and XII yet. With the standalones not having a opening crawl in a post IX world is that a bad thing? I'm assuming that they're going to alternate between GOT writers' series of films and Rian's trilogy. So, where does that leave the opening crawl? Are they not going to use it? It's not necessarily crucial, but it'll be weird post IX if we don't see the opening crawl for a long time,

    @Andrew Waples Good topic, I have discussed this exact same thing previously here in the Cantina. Personally I feel that if you are making a "trilogy" or "anthology series" of movies under the STAR WARS logo......an opening crawl is a must. Just the way I feel.
