Line of Duty Season 6 ESP 2 Another great episode & I still can’t make up my mind if the detective the team is investigating ( a superb performance by Kelly McDonald) is corrupt or is being blackmailed. Either way this is shaping up to be a fantastic season.

I am currently watching my hero academia. Boku no hero academia falls underneath the shounen sort of anime. in case you revel in looking anime/studying manga like naruto, bleach, one piece, and many others. You will love my hero academia canon for sure. If you love tremendous powers, with flashy battles and tournaments, in conjunction with a very good plot that builds up, this is a have to look ahead to you. Typical, I will say it's far one of the high quality anime of the 2010s and recommend it especially.

It's a great show! And the manga is doing some really juicy stuff. MHA to me proves that it's not the idea that makes something great, but rather quality.

ATLA is one of the greatest shows I've ever watched. Not just cartoons - shows. Season One is good, but Season Two is where things kick into gear. By Season Three, you're either all on-board or it's just not for you. The show isn't perfect, but no show is.

Well, finally made it to the end of this last night. I'd have got through it sooner if it weren't just so damned bleak... I get why, but good grief it was one of those shows I really had to be in the mood to watch - particularly from mid-way point through to the end. I've been putting off the last 2 episodes for about 10 days.

Really well done, some fine acting and indelible characterisations, but just... damn. It's definitely in my Requiem for a Dream and Fortitude s2 bucket of 'let's just never speak of this again' screen experiences.

Frankly, I am trying to muster a motivation to watch Falcon and Winter Soldier. The trip to hospital completely ruined my rhythm.

    I am still watching this:

Currently they are releasing three episodes per week, but that's not enough for me. I wish more people would see Word of Honor, because it's awesome.

Here is an excellent fan edit that the production itself embraced. It might interest you to see it. It showcases the esthetic and fights (especially in the second minute). Enjoy!

As Power Rangers Dino Fury enters its mid-Season hiatus, I feel it's probably time to do a mid-season review.
Please remember that all acting and action is talking about Power Rangers exclusively. If I say an actor or actress has good acting, I'm comparing them to other Power Rangers seasons and actors, not outside stuff like Fargo, AHS, or Breaking Bad. So please remember that when I put the clips at the bottom.

Dino Fury has been a great so far. The pacing has been really good, the setting familiar yet oddly refreshing, and jokes have been both funny and modern - there's literally an "okay boomer" joke...against an enemy named Boomtower... (Which means these jokes will age terribly, and we'll all laugh looking back at them.)
The team has a solid dynamic as well, and the fights are interesting.

    About the Rangers:
Zayto has been a very Red Ranger. He's out of his depth when it comes to modern life, but he leads his team with precision, focus, and empathy.

Ollie has been a decent Blue Ranger. He encapsulates all of the traits associated with the Blue Ranger role (analytical, technically minded, snarky), but his best dynamic has been with Amelia, and that's been sorely lacking in current episodes due to the cast size.

Amelia is a great Pink Ranger. She's smart, empathetic, and knowledgeable of modern life. She's also very superstitious, making her a great foil for Ollie when the two are paired together. Her actress is at her best when she's playing off of the other Rangers, but we have more than enough time to see her grown into the role more.

Izzy is one of the best Green Rangers so far, and has only been in four episodes max. Tessa Rao does a great American accent and is by far the best actor on the show, being hammy while also bringing the appropriate level of teenage-ness to the show. These past two episodes have done a great job of limiting her screen time because when Izzy steals every scene she speaks in, even when it's not about her.

Javi is weird. He's quirky and has depth, but isn't emotive enough to pull it all off yet. We also haven't seen him enough, so I want to give him time.

The villains are serviceable, with new motivations revealed in today's episode. They aren't exactly innovative or even intimidating by their stature, but they play the part they're given very well.

Overall, I haven't been bored or disappointed too much yet, so they're doing things right. Dino Fury seems to continue the theme of legacy and heritage, but in a distinctly different way than Beast Morphers did. It's like comparing DC's Stargirl show to the movie Shazam. Both handle being the next generation of heroes in different ways, but both could easily coexist. Dino Fury is looking like another win for Hasbro and another win for Dino-themed Power Ranger seasons.

    Some fun scenes:

Ollie and Amelia trick a Fortune Teller

    Izzy's Iconic Skirt Rip Scene

    Amelia's Luck* (skip to a 1:45)

*No joke, this was a scene in the original Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger show. When Ryusoulger was announced to be the next show adapted into Power Rangers, there were a couple of jokes about how PR would address this fight. Many fans thought the creators would either make alternate footage or even straight up ignore that episode. It turns out that they'd just leave it in, lampshade the improbability, and move on.

Same. I had all of the toys growing up, watched all of the seasons, and new every character and theme song. And then I "aged out" (read: got to a point where it wasn't cool to watch it anymore) and grew disinterested because the current seasons at the time weren't really doing anything cool.

Then in college I heard that Dino Charge was going to have the first Black Pink Ranger, and I was intrigued. I watched the first episode and found it good, and then went and found all of Linkara's History of Power Rangers episodes and binged them. Those videos helped me find the strength to watch RPM, my new favorite.

I stopped watching again until last year when the Pandemic hit and I wanted a little nostalgic television comfort. And then I heard the comics were good, and so I tried them out...and they're great. And then I realized that I don't need to hide what shows I like on an anonymous forum or with my close friends. Just because I'm not the target demographic doesn't mean I can't enjoy it. The same can be true for you @Lukestarbucker if you were curious about what the seasons since you stopped watching were like.

Modern Family! I've finally found my new comedy! Like most comedies I watch, I'm just picking an episode that sounds interesting and watching from there. No order, no rhyme, no reason. I'm really enjoying the show so far! Sofia's Gloria is great to watch (for admittedly multiple reasons), Jay is hilarious, and I really like Phil and Claire's relationship. Cam and Mitchell are occasionally funny as well, but I find their actions more annoying in the sense that most of the other couples or characters are manic inside their homes or families - Cam and Mitchell are the only ones who are repeatedly manic in public places, and that can be a little cringeworthy. But when those two shine, they shine.

Ultimately this should hold me for a couple of weeks, but the search for a good comedy show is never-ending.
