I've just finished BMF and Raising Kanan. Both really good. I've just started Raised by Wolves.

Just started Raised by wolves... talk about late to the party its RIDLEY SCOTT by god... haha. Thinking about watching Raising Kanan but I got tired of Power after its last season, but I've heard good things might check it out.

Yes I'm late to the party as well. Ridley Scott's name being attached definitely helped to draw me in. Did you see the necromancer aboard the ark scene yet?
Raising Kanan is way more down to earth and gritty than Power. I recommend giving it a shot. As well as BMF. The true story of Detroit's Big Meech.

Oh BTW. A Blade Runner AND Alien series are in the works.

Of course I did, that's the scene that got me hooked to the series, but to be honest, it drifted off a bit it could have ended a bit better. Looking forward to Blade Runner and especially Alien series. I've been logging in allot of time with Alien Fireteam Elite 3rd person shooter. Decent game for Aliens fans. A game combing Alien Isolation and Fireteam would be awesome to say the least!

Looking forward to the Expanse season 6x2, and the Witcher season 2x1 this Friday. I have to finish the Wheel of Time episodes 5 and 6, I also have to finish the newly cancelled Cowboy Bebop, I'm on episode 8. Such a shame that they could not nail a great animated show to live action. I watched the first episode of Arcane, pretty good.

I'm currently watching "Succession." I think that it is an interesting show. I can really relate to it, but it is on a much more exaggerated level, of course. The characters are interesting.

The Expanse season 6, I bloody love this show.

Netflix' The Witcher? not so much, but it has its moments.

I’m currently re-watching The Witcher (season 1), and I’m beginning to understand why I don’t remember the first thing about this show. The Witcher is very weird; it plays around with the story structure and timeline without signaling it, making it very difficult to follow. There are… 4 or 5 (I think), timelines/eras in the show, all of them intertwined with no effort made to differentiate them or to help the viewer keep track of it all.

And it’s not a mistake either, not the result of something going wrong in the editing or whatever, no, they chose to employ this un-communicated non-story structure, and I find the entire thing unfathomable. I wonder what they believe they are gaining by doing this, as compared to taking very small steps to make sure the viewer knows what’s where and when? I get that they’re adapting short stories, and they might even be aiming for keeping the Witcher plotlines a sexy mystery, but it is very strange. I, for one, would have much preferred to spend my energy enjoying the show, rather than to try to decode it and discern what’s going on.

It would have cost the creators nothing to have added a, “twelve years ago…” or “Year 1263 – The Slaughter of Cintra”, or whatever, to the various scenes. I do not understand the creators’ choices here.

As for the show itself – now that I understand what’s going on, on the second viewing and after putting in a dozen hours preparing for the show by reading up on the world beforehand* – I find that I quite enjoy The Witcher. It doesn’t quite reach the high drama and emotional impact of some other comparable shows (GoT at its finest, for instance), but it is funny and interesting enough. I’m looking forward to season 2, but I expect I’ll have to read the wiki-articles first to grasp it, which is a bit annoying. Oh well.

*The first time I watched season 1, back when it first aired, I wasn’t even sure who the main characters were supposed to be. There were so many characters, flitting in and out of the story, that it was hard (apart from the Witcher, of course), to discern which one were main characters and which ones were there in supporting roles, only. I find that I liked the show a lot better once I (after researching the characters and show) understood that The Witcher is about Geralt, the Yennefer, & the Ciri, and the rest are supporting acts. A little bit of information makes it easier to stack the stories and understand whose plot we’re in at any given point, and why it should matter. *shrug* The creators of this show are weird :p

Me and my girlfriend just finished binging all six seasons of Power. I was hooked all the way through. If your into NY style underworld crime television, I recommend. Currently on Power Book 2: Ghost.

This character, Tommy Egan from Power is one heck of a captivating and compelling character. Played by Joseph Sikora. The dude is talented.
