Finished the available season of Jujutsu Kaisen and manga too (although I hate ongoing manga since Berserk killed my enthusiasm).

Ok, here’s a one-to-watch series, The North Water.

It’s one of these “though manly-men go on a whaling expedition that is really a ship insurance fraud scheme, but the whalers don’t know that” type of show, and it is absolutely BRILLIANT. An easy 10 out of 10 show for me. The drama is powerful, the acting superb, the visuals (even the rather cheap TV-CGI stuff) is stunning, and isolation of the frozen North Waters further heightens every already-good aspect of the film. It is also one of those shows where you feel like taking a shower after ever odd episode.

While he ain’t the protagonist (more like the antagonist, to tell you the truth), Colin Farrell earns all my respect with this one (not that I didn’t respect him before); a marvelous, over-the-top performance that fits so very well with the life-in-the-icy-extremes milieu. While I’ve liked him in a few things (Phone booth and True Detective 2 comes to mind), I love him in this one, and that’s despite him portraying an utterly disgusting character. Well done, sir.

I'm re-watching Babylon 5 currently. I would say is the only property that beats star wars interns of ship design (the White Stars and The Shadow Spider vessels are my favorite spaceships ever designed)

I would also say it's the only TV show I can name that had a 4 series arc planned out from the start and actually pays off the mysteries it sets up. Which is so rare in TV.

Along with the prequels, it's also the only other live-action sci-fi property that comes close to portraying a galaxy-wide war.

    Oh... the memories! :)

I remember when the first season aired, they feigned that the episodes were based off of "real unsolved paranormal" FBI-cases... :p

The X-Files have a lot of classics episodes. An excellent mixture of suspense, bizarre and sci-fi. Unfortunately after the fifth season the series just got worse and worse. There are some episodes that are unwatchables.

I'm watching Star Wars Rebels to understand more about the Inquisitors and the link with the Obi Wan series that will be aired on may.

Yeah, that's what you get when you need to find a new "Monster of the Week" over the span of 9(!) seasons (original run).
And because you don't want to give any real answers to all the questions concerning the overall "do aliens exist or not" story-arc, things start to become more and more convoluted. Just to be able to distract the viewer with more "exiting" new questions!

    Good idea... :)

I should make a renewed effort myself, to go and watch it! (I started a long time ago, but got distracted by life and I'm not even sure if I ever made it into season 2...)

I'm currently watching season 2 of The Boys, just starting ep.5, and I don't get it. This is supposed to be the best thing ever, right? I'm bored by this show, for some reason, and I seem to remember having really liked the 1st (and lesser appreciated) season. I must be watching this wrong... help?

Don't worry about it. It just means you've lost all of your critical faculties and rationality. :)

Only that? Puh! Here I was, thinking I might be watching the show wrong, and it turns out I'm just an empty vessel without critical faculties and rationality. Thank the maker! :D

Yeah, it got better towards the end of the season and the last one was a mad spectacle, for sure.

And the fact that the mysterious head-exploder turned out to be
the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez character. LOL! :D Gotta watch those progressives!

The early X files shows are great. Loved watching recordings of that and the old Twilight Zone.
