    Bat!

I myself am currently watching The Haunting of Hill House, a Netflix horror drama of outstanding quality. It's a demanding show with a non-linear story and a lot of clever craft, and I had some trouble following who's-who & whats-goin'-on in the beginning (especially since I struggled to telling 3 similar-looking actresses apart, with one even playing two characters) but by episode 3 or so I was thoroughly hooked. While it is a horror show, THoHH doesn't rely overly on jump-scares and such, (although there are a couple of them), instead hedging its unnerving on relentless creepiness. Just great stuff! If you like horror, drama, clever storytelling, and hauntings, then THoHH is the show for you :)

I am catching up on nearly twenty years of SNL's best material.

I have particular fondness for What's That Name?, Secret Word, The Lawrence Welk Show and Dateline.

I've just finished watching 'The Boys' on Amazon Prime. Have to say its the best thing I have seen for a long time and the ending was a great twist.

Binged the whole Season 1 of Blood & Treasure recently. Was initially reluctant to watch it due to poor reviews but I'm glad I did as I loved it! It's a highly entertaining throwback to Indian Jones + National Treasure + Tomb Raider and the likes. Basically a lighthearted adventure/treasure hunting flick with the 80s/90s flair; extremely fun for what it is. So happy it's already been renewed for Season 2 as well!

Watching Dark Crystal - Age of Resistance.

What a nice show to watch. So many good characters as The Scientist (Hamill), Aughra, Hop (so funny) and The Chamberlain for example.

This show is pure magic. A good mix of puppets and CGI. A prequel of the 80's film.

Geneshaft (2001) - an anime I had lying around for some time now. It's decent enough with some good ideas and an engaging soundtrack.

Geneshaft, sadly, ended up being average, because they didn't have nearly enough episodes to properly develop their ideas.

Now, time to wrap up Killjoys

Third season of netflix's Big Mouth watched. Great show. Loved Maury's intro to S3E1 and Nick's dad's sotfboy antics.

The Florida, Duke and Ranking episodes were as good as any since the show started.

Can't wait for the next season and the Human Resources spin off that's been announced.

^ I meant "soft-daddy" antics in that last post. If you watch the episode you'll see what I mean.

That show is filled with little bits, particularly from the monsters, that just pop into my head at random moments and cause me to laugh out loud. Like when Maurice remarks to Mathew's plush toy.
    "Oh Garfield. We're ****ed."

    Just watched that tonight...

Mrs Lazarus didn’t survive the first episode and went to bed, but I’m intrigued enough to stick with it for now.

It wasn’t obvious that it’s a sequel to the original story, but they do well leaving some sight gags and it certainly looks the part.

My one criticism is that the dialogue track is waaaaay too low and gets buried in the foley/atmosphere and score.
...and speaking of score, damn. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are at it again!!
