    Star Wars is often known for its twists- it even has the granddaddy... *ahem*... the "father" of them all.

    The poll allows for unlimited answers. Please elaborate on your answers in the thread.

    So, what do we expect to see here? Just a few ideas:

    Rey's parentage revealed- No matter who the parents are, some expect this bit to be revealed in TLJ

    Finn's parentage revealed- Some also think Finn's parentage could be significant

    Snoke's Identity revealed- Your Snoke theory might suck, but we do crave this guy's backstory

    Major secret character introduction- Will Thrawn come back? Ezra? Lando? It'd be cool for one of these characters to return with no prior teasing (here's looking at you, Hasbro)

    Major good character death    - Luke? Leia? Poe? Finn? Someone else important?

    Major bad character death- Snoke? Kylo? Phasma? Someone else?

    Major betrayal- Is Rose secretly bad? Will DJ turn on the Resistance? Are the porgs just Crebain for Snoke?

    Return to familiar planet- Might we see Mustafar again? Tatooine? Naboo or Endor?

    Secret flashback (other than Luke's jedi Temple destruction)- Could we see a flashback of the characters during the OT? Battle of Jakku? Birth of Ben Solo?

    I dont know if anything of what you stated would be a big twist, but I do expect Rey's parentage revealed, at least partially. I would like to know who is Snoke and his backstory, and also I thin there will be flashbacks...Ren's this time...to a time before Academy...

    The only true twist that would be like shocking to me would be if they killed Kylo in 8, and if ST is not the story of the Fallen Skywalker and his rendemption :)

    My top three twists are:
    - Luke/Ben killed Rey's parents
    - Luke destroyed the Jedi academy by himself (after Ben had turned)
    - the Jedi were wrong about (almost) everything

    I dunno why...but I really dont think Kylo killed his co-students at the Jedi Academy....I could much more easy see Snoke influencing more than just Ben and sort of provoke others to atack him and Ben killed them in self defense? BTW are we really sure that there are/were more FS people than just Luke Leia Kylo and Rey?

    I dunno...sometimes Im affraid that he would be an escape goat...

    Major Plot Twist is Luke not who we want him to be.

    Rey, it turned off by Luke,

    Finn is bigger than we think

    Kylo Ren is never redeemed maybe he takes out his own mother.

    The First Oder is stronger than the Empire.

    Lieutenant Connix is Kylo Ren's sister.

    Phasma has a thing for Finn after he defeats her.

    Hux is Snoke's son.

    Maz and Chiew have children.

    Luke telling Rey to stay where she is on a desert planet making it look like he left her there. In IX, that planet is actually revealed to be Tatooine.

    Whatever twist or cliffhanger that may be in this movie, nothing compares to ESB. In fact, I don't know of any movies outside of Star Wars that could compare to ESB, either! I mean, Luke murdering Leia and/or committing suicide would be the closest 'WTF' moment that could rival (or surpass) ESB. YIKES. That would definitely be pushing it.. lol.

    But seriously, I think the twist will have something to do with Luke. Like someone here mentioned, Luke might not be the same Luke of the OT. He changed, and probably for the worse.

    I could see a flashback or story being told of Luke trying to save Rey's parents but he either couldn't or he helped (accidentally) play a role in their deaths.

    Not going to expect any twists, because you know why would I? I prefer to go into the movie unexpecting. Far better movie experience that way, in my opinion :)

    Rey turning dark would be cool though or Reylo actually happening, right @GreyLo and @Lady Rey ? :p

    The Porgs are the new mid-chlorians. That's why Kylo wanted the map. To complete his training he has to take a Porg as a pet. That will be the twist.
