The 1st one is almost an entirely separate entity though, isn't he? It's basically McGregor playing a version of himself, and his not-100% success at sporting an RP sounds... unique.

This isn't really the case anymore in the next two, where he's more of a proper "young Alec Guinness" character.

Definitely ROTS for me, but I like the TPM Obi-Wan as well because of his relationship dynamic with Qui-Gon Jinn.

AOTC Obi-Wan isn't exactly the nicest Jedi around :D.

The OT shows the best side of Obi-Wan. but its when we was younger. its hard cause after Ep. 3 hes basically goes into excile as well. I would like to see him in Rebels though. like a Final finale Rebels Anthology Film. Like to see a fight with him and maul.

Uh The OT shows a ghost :p but I do also like AOTC because it shows more of his flaws than any of the other movies.

I like them all, but ROTS is the best in my opinion. He looks like a very wise Jedi in ROTS.

I think I like him in that as well but he feels more "slick" in that movie...if that makes any sense..

    Oh, I can’t pick Alec Guinness. In that case . . . . . . . . ah, screw it, Alec Guinness.

As a long time fan of the sith characters, Obi Wan is by far my favorite jedi. Sure Alec Guinness was amazing in the original trilogy but we're talking prequils here. As much as I think the hatred for the prequils is overblown, much of it is warranted. Some of the acting, dialogue, and script had much to be desired. EM did an outstanding job portraying Obi Wan. He had similar personality traits but it never felt EM was trying to do an Alec Guinness impression. He knocked it out of the park! I loved Obi Wan's character in all 3 movies but I'd have to say ROTS was the best. Seeing Obi Wan battle Greivus was awesome! Obi Wan is not the most powerful jedi with the force but he makes the most of what he does have. The duel in the end with Anakin was epic! Obi Wan outperformed Anakin who was far more powerful with the force. In addition, his acting in the end was so important and imperative. It was done extremely well unlike many other parts of the prequal trilogy that fell flat. That being said, Obi Wan's scenes in AOTC and TPM were great as well. The battle and dogfight between Obi Wan and Jengo was my favorite part of AOTC. The scene with Obi Wan using the jedi mind trick on the death stick salesman was one of the few successful comedic moments in the trilogy. I also loved the scene with Dex. It's complete CGI but still a fun scene. Unfortunately the scene in Geonosis was like watching a video game! Obi Wan also rose to the occasion in TPM in defeating Darth Maul. Maul was the best sith of the prequils (and my Son's favorite), but Obi Wan was able to somehow overtake a seemingly more advanced lightsaber wielder. Personally I'd love to see an Obi Wan movie with EM if they could come up with a quality script.

Eh, unless you're a bratty Rebelscum apprentice of his, you ought to do fine...

The Scottish-colored RP accent might be a factor.

Sadly written as too much a smart Alec (pun intended) in aotc, it's easiest to connect the rots master obi wan with Ben in the ot, which makes it best version.

That said, I'll never forget how magical it was seeing him as a bad ass padawan in TPM. Especially since I was so thrown off by the original Yoda puppet they had in there.lol

ROTS. Escape from order 66, the Anakin/Vader fight. Holding baby Luke and Leia. "Rescuing" Palps. Riding off into the sunset at the end.
