What you want to see/answered in the ST

    Hi folks, been lurking around the site for well over a year and figured its time to discuss a bit w/ fellow fans.

    Here's what I want to see and/or answered in the ST.

    1- Chosen One Prophecy: I have a hard time believing a prophecy, which existed for over a millennia, in the end only to balance the force for just 30 years. We all assumed the Sith line died w/ Palpatine on the 2nd Death Star when the chosen one "Returned to the Jedi" etc.

    If there was another Sith threat out and balance was not achieved, what was the point of labeling Anakin the chosen one? Will he return (force ghost) and guide the next generation of Skywalkers into finally eliminating the Sith...thus still, indirectly, balancing the force.

    I seem to recall earlier Lucas drafts dealing w/ resurrections. It wouldn't be a stretch to argue if the force could create life it could also resurrect as well.

    2- Luke and Han screen time: Rumors abound that our favorite scoundrel meets his end in TFA and Luke has minimal screen time in the closing minutes. Considering a subplot of the OT was the friendship between these two, it would really stink if they don't have screen time together (after all Luke still owes Han one).

    3- Jedi Temple of Coruscant: I'd love to see a scene/flashback of Luke, or padawan, going to the Temple. Walking up the steps towards the temple entrance, similar to Anakin at the end of ROTS, and met by a squad of troopers.

    IIRC, at the end of the "Special Edition" of ROTJ, the lights are on at the temple. After the fall of the Jedi, it would make sense for Palpatine to keep the temple due to all the records it contains about the Jedi, Sith and universe which surely be valuable assets and for its strategic advantages.

    Will we seeit, will it be intact or ransacked?

    4- Lando and Wedge: I know there's no chance to see Wedge as it "bores" Dennis Lawson but considering there's a Lando comic out.... Disney/Marvel wouldnt be investing in a character if we have already seen the end of him.


    As far as am concerned, the "Episode" movies are the Skywalker family saga/ stories and everything else is just a spin-off. Which one are we getting in December? An episode or a spin-off. Can the descendants of Han/Leia be considered "Skywalkers" without the family name, or did Luke take "care of business" somewhere along the line.

    How about you? What do you want to see, explained etc in the ST?

    i wouldn´t mind seeing Hayden as a forceghost teaching Luke about Jedi History & their old ways,,, giving advice on what was good with the old order & what didn´t work & why he felt like an outsider , telling Luke how to avoid making terrible decisions . (hmmm, i wonder what he would look like in a jedi-beard)

    I would like to know why Luke force choked those gamorrean guards in ROTJ? I would like to know how he became more skilled in the force when he hadn't completed his training with yoda? Did he get trained and influenced by someone on the darkside of the force. Made a deal with the devil so to speak. He was dressed all in black like Anakin was just before he became vader. He was so close to becoming the emperor's new apprentice when he unleashed pure fury on his father during the last duel. He only managed to gain his composure just at the last moment. I wonder if he has knowledge of the darkside of the force as well as the light and he is in hiding because he is worried that he might fall to the darkside should he be tempted in the outside world.

    I would like to see a more formidable enemy of the resistance. The Empire looked awesome but their fighting skills left a lot to be desired. I've heard that the First Order will be brutal and General Hux according to his action figure is proud of how skilled and well trained his Storm Troopers are. I want this to come over well on screen. I want to see Captain Phasma become more than just a villain in the trilogy. I want her to be so charismatic that we are almost rooting for her whenever she is on screen. All the best villains possess this magnetic screen presence and I sense/hope she has this. I don't think she should ever take her mask off as it will detract from a much needed mystery about her character. I like the idea of her being a woman in masculine looking armour. Judging from her toy mask I like the sound of her feminine yet calm, civilised, detached manner. From what the actress said about her character, that she has focused on the physicality of her character, how she moves. I want to see this calm and detached manner in the way she speaks in contrast to an intense and efficient way in which she moves her body in the action scenes. I think we should see the resistance almost beaten by the First Order in the first film. Overall I want to see and believe that the First Order truly are a force to be reckoned with.

    -I want to know how many reshoots J.J. had to redo because Leia was having Spice flashbacks
    -I want to know if Chewbacca will finally break down and get a laser hair removal treatment
    -I want to know if the New Republic ever enacted a law that finally allows R2D2 and C3PO to finally tie the knot
    -I want to know if Han Solo purposely crashes the Millennium Falcon simply to get exempt from The Force Awakens Star Wars conventions
    -I want to know if when recounting the legends of the original trilogy that are "all true", if Han Solo exclaims " Yeah, I shot first"

    IIRC some time in the past George Lucas mentioned that we should see a character from the PT return in the ST.

    I'm well aware that Disney has somewhat rejected George Lucas' drafts for the ST and instead pursues a different concept, but do we have any ideas who that character might have been? (I'd say Chewie doesn't really count and most if not all of the other characters are dead).

    I freely admit that because of the recent Jar-Jar-Binks-isn't-who-he pretended-to-be speculation I'm now more than ever interested to find the answer to that riddle.

    Should somebody know more, please let me / us know.
