Phantom Menace I find most problematic. I don't hate it and think it is very well done overall but about every choice related to the force or the Jedi Order is less than palatable to me. That puppet false Yoda was dredful and I'm super happy that was edit/deleted for the Blu.

Attack of the Clones I find most questionable in its construction and delivery but at least currently I'm finding it my most enjoyable prequel minus the clunkier bits of the romantic plot on Naboo over taking Revenge of the Sith for the first time since it's release.

I think we are almost a touch of dialog doctoring and a little willingness to sacrifice pushing technical boundaries a hair in favor of making the best movie possible and we may have had a strong winner with Clones.

He grew up on a farm. Milking Banthas to get that blue milk Aunt Beru serves was probably a part of his daily chores. He is not above milking animals at all, particularly on a remote island where he has to feed himself. I don't know why this concept is so repulsive and unacceptable.

When did I insult fans personally? Why is my criticism of the prequels any more "infantile" than your criticism of the sequels? I simply pointed out the absurdity in criticizing the sequels while giving a total pass to the prequel trainwrecks. I don't see how that's a personal attack on anyone.

The real truth is...........the clone wars movie. Me and my brother were watching it in cinema and we were just thinking all the things that will surely be edited out by the mods. There was Anakin with an apprentice, completely nullifying everthing we'd seen in the prequels. And what a surprise a few years later: Darth Maul's alive!?!?!?!? :p

And the underlying truth is...........even though I hated it, I still enjoyed it.

    The Last Jedi.

I've seen it once and I have no intentions of ever seeing it again for the rest of my life. At least not from start to finish.

It's very infantile to mock people who don't like The Last Jedi if they happen to like the prequels. So what? If I dislike both The Last Jedi and the prequels, how does that change my initial criticism of The Last Jedi? It doesn't change.

But that was in the other thread and deleted? Noticed you're about to be declared unmutual, hope that's not the case, because this isn't the Village, right?

To be fair, that was technically three episodes stitched together.

But yeah, it's pretty bad still. I tried watching it a few months ago, and couldn't get through it. It's amazing how they managed to make a character as insufferable as Ahsoka (sorry if anyone likes early Ahsoka) in that movie gradually into a pretty amazing character. She's just really grating to me early on, but she got so much better with time.

AOTC. That's the only SW movie that I have to press the button for "Next Chapter" which is almost every scene Padme and Anikan is in.

Same here. Some of the other films have scenes that are tough to get through, but AOTC is the one that makes you divert your eyes purposefully to avoid the pain. lol

There is no real "worst Star Wars movie". Why? Because everyone is basically expressing an opinion or expressing his or her tastes. Why bother asking such a question in the first place? Wouldn't the correct question be "what is your least favorite Star Wars movie"?

You can still judge quality based on certain factors such as cinematography, editing, acting. Taste is subjective, but quality isn't entirely, especially for the more technical aspects.

But you're right, in the context of the thread it is mostly "what is your least favorite Star Wars movie."

    TPM for me.

It's an enjoyable movie on it's own but it just feels so disconnected from the rest of the saga. I guess that's bound to happen at least a little bit when you have a decade gap between TPM and AOTC but so much of what's introduced in that film barely gets any attention or mention in the rest of the trilogy and of course none of it is mentioned at all in the OT considering they were ideas, concepts and characters that hadn't yet been conceived.

In recent history I've grown to dislike threads like these. Threads that are only about bashing the thing you dislike. You may say that threads like these are about crtiquing, but 99% of the time they turn into an Amazon-long river of bile. Shouldn't being a part of fandom be about liking something, not relishing in the negative emotions? That's messed up. My point is - can we all, as the members of this forum, try to create as few of negative threads? Threads that ask if something will fail, someone should be sacked, etc. Let's spread the love instead.

That is true. I personally hated R2 in that movie especially in the beginning. I know R2 is a robot MacGyver but come on, he was way too OP in that movie. I cringed when I saw R2 scenes in the theater (I was heading into senior year of high school, when that movie came out) and I still cringed today whenever I see his scenes in that movie.

I was in grade school, and even I was cringing for the majority of the first act of that movie. There's such a weird shift of momentum from the epic opening shots and ship battles, to the wise-quipping fight aboard the ship. There's almost no score either, which adds to the cringe factor by making the place just feel wrongly quiet, especially after the epic intro music.

Plus, even though the mission is to rescue the Chancellor, the stakes just don't feel high at all. I appreciate humor in Star Wars, but if you're concerned with Poe's jokes at the beginning of TLJ, I can't imagine liking the idea that it appears that Anakin and Obi Wan seemed more interested in out-quipping each other than actually rescuing Palpatine.

Initially one of those from the PT, but now TLJ because at least the PT films showed something new.

For me it is hands down Episode I. As psyched as I was for Star Wars in middle school, Episode I actually turned me off from the prequels altogether. I didn't see II and III until quite recently. I actually liked The Last Jedi, I thought it was the best "new" Star Wars since Return of the Jedi. It was far from perfect, but it was well-produced and I thought it was easily more original than The Force Awakens.
