I mean, I feel you and all, but I would think Star Wars would be the last story series that a continuity b**** would find interest with since Star Wars is the king of retcon and continuity misteps, let alone the king of "magic technology".

    Cheer,
    Jayson

Yeah, I can take magic technology cuz its a different universe, but you see, i have a fun side, that sees the fun and magic of star wars and the lore, but i also have a nitpicky continuity b**** side. Also, since star wars is so awesome, i (try) to patch up all the continuity problems i can, but hyperspace skipping is the latest one that i can not answer. I made an explanation for the holdo maneuver, since i didnt like the one that the book presented(see my hated TLJ rants) and now my hate for that movie has lessened, and i can see now, it is a good movie!

I can't claim to have answers for you.
However, I will say what I usually do about receiving Star Wars.

Star Wars is best taken as if you are watching a holy text.
If you imagine each trilogy as being a holy tale written by a different people in the GFFA, then all of the weird inconsistencies and "wtf" moments stop being a problem, because you are now looking at them as allegorical tales akin to the Avesta, the Vedas, or the Torah.

How exactly the Vimana make sense, and the logic of their travels is relatively irrelevant to the reading of the Vedas, and for the large part, entirely missing their point.
Likewise, how exactly you fit the entire world's seed population of animals in a ship measurable in cubits is kind of looking at the thing slightly sideways from its ontologically intended purpose.

Lucasfilm itself, in my opinion, gets far too wrapped up in this stuff like a third year seminary student who thinks they have all of the creative answers to their religion's continuity and logical paradoxes, when in fact the best answer is sitting right in the story itself...what makes sense is what matters, while what doesn't make sense is what doesn't matter, because what is of value by people is what they bother to try to make sense to readers when they write a story down.

And what makes sense in Star Wars all the time is its allegory.
    That's its icing.

Everything else is just regular yellow cake which serves as an excuse to put what people are here for: Sprinkles and Icing.

    Space Action and Allegory.
Star Wars is the Western Vedas.

    Just my 2 nuyen. ;)

    Cheers,
    Jayson

Two years later and my least favorite Star Wars movie is now either SOLO or TROS. On the one day it's SOLO, on the next day it's TROS.

Attack of the Clones for me. It's the only movie that I just genuinely can't sit through. I've seen it countless times by now and I honestly don't think I'll ever watch that one again.

The Last Jedi. Too many plot twists and not all of them are done properly. Yoda that appears only for a few seconds, I was hoping to see him more often but no. Most of the movie is fixed on the rebels who flee from the first order. Not to mentions the huge plot holes, especially with DJ.

SOLO follows but it is a spin off so I cannot expect too much from it.

Yoda has 2 minutes of screentime in TLJ.
    He had 4 in ROTJ.
Rey and Luke lead the cast in screentime in TLJ. (not the Rebels fleeing story line).

Agree. Jar Jar is one of the most annoying characters at least in the prequel trilogy. And there are no plot twists regarding him. Jar Jar is stupid and that's it.

Well, I find Attack of the Clone in the average. Not the best but even not the worst. I liked the Battle of Geonosis, how the army of clones was created and that Anakin meets for the first and I think only time his step brother. The movie parts I liked least were the chasing across Coruscant to capture Zam Wesell, followed by when Anakin and Padme enter the droid factory. However, in my personal opionion, AOTC is better than The Last Jedi.

What's really fun about this is when people talk about guys with less than 5 minutes of screentime ruining a movie or series lmao

I'll do it at some point later, because I did it once before in an excel book, but it would be cool to do in a Tableau report...but anyway, yeah, it's really far more interesting when you break it down across films and series.

    Things get rather interesting.
Like...take for example, Anakin, right? That's 164 minutes ever.
Luke, 133 minutes ever, but he's been in fewer total films than Anakin/Vader.
And then ... Rey has been in one series and has 129 minutes.

That's 97% of Luke and 78% of Anakin/Vader in just three films.
