Well for a start...their bottoms wrinkle when they run because the suits were too loose on some of the actors. This bothered me immensely as a child. It made me wonder if my bottom wrinkled when I ran. Now this is a question that can keep a child awake at night so I had to find out. Which involves running and trying to look behind yourself at the same time. This can lead to nasty things like running into a pole.

    Damn Ewoks.

No need to elaborate since the first post sums my opinion up pretty well. I don't really mind Jar Jar, but I can't say I ike him though. The ewoks rule.

Compared to Jar Jar, yes Ewoks rule.

Other than the Tarzan reference, there is nothing wrong with the Ewoks, as far as I'm concerned.

Yes. Yes they were. Princess Leia - one of, if not the highest ranking official within the Rebel Alliance - was missing and needed to be found, and the fluffy little toads were delaying them. Not to mention the fact that the fate of the entire galaxy was hanging in the balance and the Ewoks were delaying the critical destruction of the Death Star's shield generator. So yes, I'd have been tempted to shoot them, or at the very least either main or scare the poo out of them so I could get back to the vitally important task at hand.

    Exactly this.

If he'd used that exact word, I'd have totally forgiven the movie ending on a total downer with the Ewoks picking their teeth with shards of our heroes' bones, the Death Star being completed on-schedule, and Palpatine devastating entire systems with his new armed and fully-operational battlestation. All because of that word.

Cripes, I'd forgotten all about that weird call. So painful to watch.

I remember even as a kid, watching the Endor section of RotJ and thinking, "ye gods, this is totally a toy commercial!" Now that I think about it, it's the exact same way I felt about the podrace section of TPM, believing it to be an over-extended advert for a podracing video game. It could have been so different, so brilliant, but for some reason, the greed for the money to be made selling teddy bears won out over common sense and good story-writing.

The Ewoks come across much better in the non-special edition where the original more disturbing Rebo Band sequence makes the threat of bad things happening later in the film all the more real and creates more of a need for the comic relief that the ewoks provide.

    Ewoks were great.

Other than a few traps, which may have existed for some time or where developed with the help of the rebels they have a few rousing moments and a few good moves and you see a lot of tragic moments if not for luck and Chewie taking the AT-ST the whole mission would have failed 90% of the ewok involvement in that victory was presenting alternative targets.

Ewok cuteness is on par with panda bears, prairie dogs, and tamarind monkeys. There's nothing unrealistic about cuteness in nature. I'm imagining a pre-battle of Endor flashback with a background detail of an Ewok gnawing on skeletal hand of a biker scout. Judging by how they treated Han, Luke, and Chewie the Ewoks did seem accustomed to canabalism.

I personally like the little fellas. But as shown in the movie, they ate people. What I would like to see now, is a scene in the movie that has C-3P0 telling the Ewoks humans should not be eaten. It would, in my opinion, fulfill his "human-cyborg relationships" duty, and actually fit well with how he fully convinces them through storytelling of the good things he has done with the humans. Oh, and the stormtrooper helmets in the party? l can just believe they ate the soldiers before C-3P0 arrived, and then went non-Human in their diet :D.

They were just irritating, squeaky, furry little b**tards! Only good thing about them is being able to shoot them for sport in the Ewok hunt in Star Wars Battlefront 2!

Chewie = cute but will rip your arms out if angry
R2D2 = cute but will electrocute you if angry
Ewoks = cute but will cook and eat you when happy and bash your head in with rocks if angry.
    Seems pretty consistent ;-)

I grew up near where ROTJ was filmed for the Endor scenes. There were ads in the local paper for extras (my good friend's dad was an extra) and many of the cast and crew were seen around town, although I don't remember seeing any of the main actors, to include Peter Mayhew. I was only 7 or 8 at the time, but seeing the actors who were to portray the Ewoks walking around town kinda ruined it for me. Maybe it's like catching your dad putting on a Santa suit, dunno, but I just couldn't buy off on the Ewoks then, and now they just annoy me. I love ROTJ though, don't get me wrong, but hating Ewoks is like a guilty pleasure.

I liked them as a kid. They didn't carry over well. I think the wookies might have.
