Haha - I remember seeing that fight in the theater and thinking of the Family Guy running gag of Peter’s ridiculously epic fights with the chicken. I half expected one of them to call a 'timeout'. "Can we maybe move this somewhere slightly less irrationally dangerous please?"

Is it bad I enjoyed the Mustafar scene with Vader over him massacring the rebels? It was just fun to watch him completely unimpressed by Krennic before "kindly reminding" the Director not to choke on his aspirations. :p

It’s the single most egregious offense possible. The entirety of the Stars Wars fandom unanimously ruled this to be the single greatest scene of all time in perpetuity. To run contrary to the collective is tantamount to heresy of the highest magnitude. I’m sorry, but you will no longer be allowed to continue on as a Star Wars fan moving forward. Please return any merchandise you may possess and do your best to glean what possible joy you can from what remains of a meager existence spent standing on the outside, looking in.

    Nah, it’s fine :)

yep you can't really argue with that.

after this scene Cassian Killing the messenger at the start, was great, well not great i mean he killed a guy just cos he didn't want him too talk, but messing up the lines between good an evil was great.

Mouse droid sightings!! And when Cassian pulled Jyn away from Krennic at the end. K2's last scene. What a movie.

K2-SO last scene was heroic and selfless ~ a complete flip of this character and a great way to bring his character arc full circle

Definitely a flip from the beginning. They did a marvelous job of developing his character throughout, especially when he joined Jyn's rogue team and remained loyal to Cassian (who had his own issues.) All of K2's scenes are summed up in the last. Perfect.

Hey, I am a newbie here but a complete SW fanatic, I am a 52 yr old retired US Air Force officer who has grown up with and loved everything SW. I have 3 boys ages 14, 13 and 9, they too have developed a love of SW. Anyway, we absolutely LOVED Rogue One, I really think it has become my favorite of the 8 SW movies so far. Absolutely loved the worlds, characters, raw courage, backstory of an Imperial Officer (the first ever in SW) and of course the battle scenes. When I heard they were continuing the SW saga, before The Force Awakens, I was looking forward to new characters, new worlds, new challenges, etc......TFA , although an enjoyable movie, felt too familiar for me. In my opinion Gareth Edwards took risks in Rogue One that paid off tremendously. Loved the insight into the Rebellion and also the Empire. Also loved the "gritty" serious tone, and also, being a huge fan of war movies , I loved that this was the first "war movie" in the SW saga - reminded us it is Star WARS. No touchy feely stuff here, no Ewoks or Jar Jar, just the coming together of a team of rebels who made the ultimate sacrifice. The final scene in Rogue One, from the time that Vader says "prepare a boarding party" , through the end of the movie, is in my opinion one of the top 3 scenes in all the SW movies. I will never be able to read the 2nd paragraph of the opening crawl in A New Hope without tearing up....R1 showed the tremendous sacrifice to get those plans.

My 3 favorite scenes in R1:

    1. The complete ending, from when Vader says "Prepare a boarding party" - all the way through the end, is in my opinion, the finest scene in all of SW!! Music is SUPERB, pacing, the tying together of the death of Jyn/Cassian to the completion of their mission is very moving

    2. Cassian's speech when he gathers the rebels to join Jyn - very moving, courageous, reminded me of some other war movie scenes

    3. Baze hitting the AT-ACT with the shoulder fired rocket - only to be saved when Blue squadron provides air cover - awesome!

Well the Vader scene is really hard to top for any film, so really this thread should be what are your two favourite scenes ;-)

    So my second favourite scene

The scene where Jyn sees the hologram message from her father. Very emotional scene and the very heart of the film. It's not just the emotion of their plight but also for me when I first saw it (unspoiled) having a warm feeling from seeing how they connected to, and strengthened, the original Star Wars.

The franchise seems to be in good hands at the moment.

Just got an early copy of rogue one.
Man. The last 45 minutes of this film are just glorious.
The space battle and editing of it intercut with the Rebels in the base is just so brilliant.

They have DEFINITELY done more work in Tarkin. He looks 100% real. It's flawless. Haven't gotten to Leia yet.

I watched the movie twice in theater and just finished watching the digital version. And he looks worse to me in the digital hd version than in theater. Leia looks fine though.

Did you get an early DVD release? So looking forward to the DVD. I thought Tarkin was awesome, Leia was kind of jarring but OK I guess. Just because we know what a young Carrie Fisher looked like more than an aged Peter Cushing....
