What's your favorite scene/scenes from Rogue One?

just finished watching the blu-ray.
the entire third act is just perfect in my eyes.
so much excitement and heroic daring-do.
the first act is incredibly slow and would be very confusing had I not read Catalyst(some of my friends hated the first third of the film until I filled them in afterward), but the last 2/3's of this film are so incredible that you quickly forget the lackluster opening.
the music bugs me... I feel they should have used more of the classic score, and there are SO many moments where the score feels like it's about to go into the familiar yet appropriate themes, only to trail of into boring, ineffective, cliche'd action movie music. not up to par with any of the other SW scores.
other than those minor problems, I love this film. the best scene is Vader's OldBoy hallway fight of course.

 

The space battle of Scariff, awesome edge of your seat action watching two fleets clash & a data heist taking place on the surface before the death star arrived to clean up.

 

Have you noticed that when the fleet is getting the order to prepare to jump to hyperspace, the death star seemsto be just next to it??

I made a great only space battle cut of scarif and want to share it with you but I don't know how to upload it without the copyright block (although many others have been uploading starwars scenes without problem)

 

K2SO grenade scene, on target as always.

 

Just watched it for the first time in a couple months... I think I may love the movie even more! Still can't believe I love a Saw movie this much that doesn't have any Jedi!

My favorite scene may be the on between Galen and Jyn on the platform. We suspect any guy with a daughter felt that one right in the gut too.

 

Good choice that was a emotional scene. Yep having Saw involved since his time in the Clone Wars, this was great as well.

I remember I started tearing up with that scene and previously when Jyn sees the hologram. Maybe I felt it right in the gut because it reminded me of my late father.

Watching it again <3 and probably will end up doing a back to back viewing of RO and TFA

Other than Scarif and Vader, I (for the most part) liked Jedda and Eadu. Chirrut fighting the stormtroopers was great and Cassian deciding whether or not to kill Galen Erso. There was also some really great lines-
"Oh look, it's Lyra back from the dead. It's a miracle!"- Krennic
"The Force is with me and I am one with the Force."- Chirrut (x100)
"It's not a problem if you don't look up."- Jyn Erso
"We need a statement, not a manifesto. The holy city will be enough for today."- Tarkin

Not to mention some great humor, Easter eggs, and great action. This is probably one of my favorites of all the SW movies.

 

I absolutely loved that the beginning of this scene (0:17) and the end used that 4-note Death Star tune from A New Hope. Made me a giddy little kid in the theater. lol.

 

@tm0910196 You and I share the same appreciation for R1.....just love this movie. My oldest boy pointed out that everyone on Jyn's team at the end had a part in getting the plans....they were all links in a chain. If any link broken, they would have failed....pretty good perception for a 14 yr old! So wish Gareth Edwards gets another shot at a SW movie- maybe in the follow on trilogy!
