SPECULATION When Snoke Meets Rey

I'm not convinced the two will ever meet face to face yet. Or anyone will for that matter.

 

Snoke: So, your the young padawan of Skywalker that has caused me such distress.

Rey: And your the Dark Lord of the Sith,the one who turned Ben Solo!

Snoke: I am far more than you have ever suspected, but you will never know, for you embrace destruction by cominh here to face me!

?... Because hard to see, the Dark Side is?

 

I don't know. Something just doesn't seem right. As in Snoke is not of the physical realm maybe. Something.

 

I don't think the word "padawan" will ever be spoken in a SW film again. The Jedi at Luke's temple/academy are referred to in the visual dictionary and in the film as "jedi" or "students". The new Jedi were of Luke's design and he was never referred to as a padawan and nor was anyone else during Lukes era. No evidence of Sith yet either. If they meet I think he will try and use some type of tactic to spin words on her about her being left alone for so long and how he can sense her anger etc etc. She seems pretty good and resisting such conversations and though her fighting style seems a bit emotionally driven she held up very well in a different way during Kylo's interrogation.

Pablo Hidalgo (of the Lucasfilm/Disney story team) confirmed that Snoke is not a ghost or a holocron or something. He is physically alive.

 

One thing that I noticed upon rewatch is that, once Rey has Kylo on the ground/defeated, she's prowling around him. Almost like a predator stalking their wounded prey and deciding how to finish them off.

Now go back and watch the final duel in TPM, specifically the scene where Qui Gon and Darth Maul are separated by that laser barrier. If you noticed how Maul is moving back and forth, and the look on his face, there are a lot of similarities to how Rey circles Kylo.

A big hint that she was tapping into the Dark Side to beat him perhaps? And the novelization indicates that she hears Snoke's voice in her head urging her to kill Kylo. So yeah, their meeting, and I fully believe that they will meet at some point, could be really interesting.

 

Hopefully she'll be chained up to him in a gold bikini. I'd be fine with that.

They will meet eventually I;m sure. I will bet Snoke tries to do exactly what he did with Kylo as soon as Luke starts training her.

 

I think Luke Skywalker is too late to turn...then again, we have no idea when Doomunturned as one of ONLY 20 of thousands of Jedi that turned. Before the order fell .

 

I think there will be some major revelation when Rey and Snoke meet face to face.

 

Rey will mind trick Snoke and make him her pet grandpa

 

My prediction: Snoke will try to bring her to the dark side torturing Finn in front of her. Perhaps this could happen already in VIII.

 

I think Snoke's demise will be heavily connected to the diminishing of the Dark Side.
Finn will lead the Stormtroops in revolt, essentially destroying the FO without spilling blood or allowing for it to be rebuilt.
Kylo will return to the light with Rey's help, with Snoke witnessing - Snoke will then die as the Dark Side will be too weak to sustain his broken body.

The Rey/Snoke confrontation will be a confrontation of the brightest light and the darkest of the dark.

 

They'll meet. The Emperor and Luke met. I think that Snoke will meet Rey and possibly meet/again with Luke and this is when/where Snoke will be defeated.

 

I would be awesome to see Rey tap into the dark side while fighting Kylo Ren again. And then Luke would have to come in and stop Rey! It would be a very powerful and emotional scene.

 

So not only does Snoke look like Voldemort, but he will die like him as well?

 

I think so. Otherwise it's just another Emperor. There has to be a new challenge in beating the villain within the mythology IMO.
