We saw in the ''Twilight of the Apprentice'' Maul leave Malachor in one the inquisitor's tie fighters to a unknown destination, the question is where is he going, could it be back to Dathomir to rally more to his cause or Coruscant to try again to exact vengeance against Sidious for Savage's death & replacing him with Vader, Any suggestions?

I would say he will stay close to his new apprentice Ezra, just out of reach of Kanan, and slowly tempting Ezra to the dark side.

There is a good chance, he did nudge quickly in the darkside during this episode, who knows if Kanan can draw him back.

Thanks to this hi-rez close up, I don't think this is sith eyes. Sith eyes are mostly yellow with a ring of red. This is most likely the glow from the holocron.

...I was literally thinking Dathomire, too. However, he wants to see the empire fall so I don't think that he'd confront assiduous to his face. Maul, if anything, would hunt down the remaining apprentices of Vader and Sidious's most loyal followers like Mas Ameada in order to attempt to destroy the empire form the the inside out...in fact I'd bet that Maul will survive past ROTJ, and maybe BdT would finally play him since he dropped out of the role after finding out that maul's lines had been cut at the last minute lol.

"Maul, now that you've successfully pitted your enemies against each other and laid the seeds for having your own evil apprentice, what are you doing next?"

"I'm gonna go to Disneyworld." (vicious)

Lost Stars says that Amedda survived ROTJ.

What if Maul ends up abandoning the dark side and joining forces with Ahsoka? (but Yoda and Obi-Wan never find out)

Mas Ammeda is in control of the Empire following Sheev's death. The Empire lasts for approximately a year after ROTJ.
All the nightsisters on Dathomir were eliminated by Grevious and his droid army. In Son of Dathomir, the nightbrothers capture Dooku. I would be surprised if the count returned to eliminate the male tribe as well.

I would like Maul to return to Dathomir however, in order to learn magick. That way, we could have a hybrid force-weilder.

I think he'll go after Palpatine. Btw, what was Maul going to do with that crazy sith temple weapon? Destroy Coruscant?

I think his end game has to be to get vengance on Sidious, and by extension, Vader. He'll want a powerfull apprentice to help him do that, so he'll definately be engineering a situation to draw Ezra in. Then, won't he want to gain more power, however he defines that?

I'm not sure if he will want to identify as a Sith again, even if for all intents and purposes he is pretty Sithy. He may want to go in a new dark direction, or try to destroy the Sith so he can declare himself the most badass Sith Lord ever. Not sure. Either way, he seems to hold some pretty severe grudges with the current Sith regime, and rightly so, I guess. So surely that means trouble all round, for the Empire and the Rebels :)

That's a confident bet is of existence lasting that long.
Well Mother Talzin did say to Savage that they would survive & always would.
I know he did exception to be being ''replaced'' as Sidious so I see him having encounters with Vader & the Emperor in season 3, his pursuit of Ezra might take a while considering he blinded Kanan, that isn't exactly going to get him to sign up for Maul's offer to train him.

They survived through her and Ventress. Unfortunately for both of them however, they were slain by the Sith. One could argue that they survive through Maul, but we've yet to see Maul embrace the magickal arts onscreen.

I think Maul sought to use the weapon to eliminate Vader, and then use the holocron to gain mastery over life. He would then use that knowledge to assassinate Sheev. I can't quite remember what the holocron Sith said.

First, I do not believe he is going Dathomire because all that is there is memories nothing to help in his conquest. I also do not believe he is going to go head to head with Sideous because he himself even stated he is not powerful enough to defeat him. I think one thing for certain is that no matter what and where he does go, he is always going to be a step away from Ezra to be the little fly in his ear but distant enough that Kanan can't swat at him. We could see Maul going to find knowledge himself possibly making a trip Morriband with Ezra to get more answers from the knowledge in the holocron which the contents has yet to be revealed. Second, I think it is safe to assume that 8th brother was the only inquisitor to hunt down Maul and with Vader being in the surroundings of Maul could have possibly sensed Maul and is able to inform Sideous of Maul's existence. Sideous and Vader will then eventually be the one to fight Maul and strike him down showing Vader what would happen to him if he betrayed him. Ezra could play a role but I am trying to focus on Maul.

Well lets see, Ezra will be learning some Sith secrets from that Holochron. I am thinking Maul is going to still want the information in there as well. Maul will certainly be going after Ezra and the Holochron. Ezra will certainly be practicing dark side force feats/powers he learns from the Holochron.

Ultimately, Ezra will become an apprentice of Snoke, what that means for Maul is unknown since Snoke does not have too follow the rule of two. Snoke is certainly around in these times.

I was honestly expecting Maul to stay on Ezra, Kanan and Ahsoka's side during the entirety of the finale. It felt to me like he overplayed his hand way too fast. If that happened, he'd have probably turned Ezra with more subtlety acting as this sort of Dark Side adviser to the fledgling Rebellion. Sure, it would have halted Kanan's blindness arc by a little bit, but right now, things aren't exactly optimal in Maul's favor.

He did secure his freedom; SEVERELY damaged the Inquisitors; but lost the weapon and lost an apprentice. He'll probably want to approach things with more care, so as not to make the same mistake twice; the worst thing he could do right now is to pull off something reckless.

With that said, I'd really love to see Dathomir again.

With that said what would you predict happens if he goes to Dathomir? Why? etc. Just curious, I love the planet just don't see how it fits.

I haven't read Son of Dathomir, but from what I gather, Mother Talzin and the Nightsisters were pretty much wiped out, no? Going by that, I could see Maul return there either for personal reflection, or, a more interesting approach, rally the males into a formidable "rebel band" of his own. Thing is, we don't really have a look into Maul's plans other than he's going for the endgame. What we've seen so far of him gives me an impression that while he may have longterm plans, the journey itself to get there is made entirely on-the-fly.

Example: he wants to take on an apprentice, but with Ezra currently unavailable, he'll wait until an opening shows up rather than make that opening on his own.
