SPECULATION Where's the romance?

    honestly I think that Finn will fall for Rey but it might not be mutual.

    They did say that they have been doing chemistry tests with John Boyega for the casting of the next female role.....I say that maybe Finn will fall for Rey, but it will not be mutual by the end of EP VII or beginning of VIII. Another female character comes into play and she's fallen for Finn which creates this love triangle and she tries to win him over because she notices his affections for Rey.
    I think about these things a lot and I think love triangles give the best romance-drama for sagas.

    But also side note: I keep thinking about Rey and Finn holding the hands of a little curly-haired boy off into the sunset at the end of IV....hehe

    I will say that we've never really gotten an actual love triangle in a Star Wars film, have we?
    I mean in the OT, we *thought* that Luke, Leia, and Han we one, but... uh, no thank you.
    And in the PT, there was sorta-kinda one between Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan (feel free to pick your own pivot), but it wasn't really ever referenced in the films proper (though Mathew Stover's novel did some good stuff with it).

    There definitely was a love triangle in A New Hope and the beginning of Empire. Yes the thought of it is disgusting but it was a present theme of a love triangle. This is what I mean though, just briefly. Its enough tension to get you wondering who's actually in love with who or misdirect potential truths or developments.

    I know it's definitely not gonna happen, if there are kids to be had, that'll be covered it the subsequent books and comics, but... man, that made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy.

    Poe is too handsome not to have a love interest. If he's cocky, likely he and Rey would be the odd couple like a Han and Leia. Could be though that Poe ends up with someone else, but he ends up with someone. Maybe even Kylo when/if he turns to the light will end up with someone we haven't met yet.

    I know some of the criticism with ANH is that it didn't have much romance. I think the biggest offender was with TPM, absolutely zero romance. I'm sure they'll bring some romance into Ep. 8.

    I'd be fine if there wasn't any romance in the ST. But since that's not all that plausible, I vote Poe and Rey, I felt a vibe between the two of them in TFA novelization.
