SPECULATION Which Force Ghost will/would we most likely see in 8?

Yeah I am pretty sure ghosts are all in Luke's head. Remember ROTJ, Yoda, Obi Wan & Hayden all there, glowing and smiling on Endor, Leia reaches for Luke and it is pretty clear she doesn't see what HE'S seeing.

Luke was slowly losing his mind in ROTJ.... I am pretty sure that now, he is seeing far worst than Force ghosts in his head.

 

I think I'd most like to see Anakin. Yoda's advice is always real basic: "Don't turn to the Dark Side, Luke". Yeah real helpful, Obvious Captain! And Obiwan is the same, but with some convoluted Vader backstory filled with truthiness. Anakin/Vader was the only one to be honest with Luke from the get go. And I'd love to see some more Luke/Anakin time. Luke and Vader/Anakin in RotJ is some of the best, most emotionally charged moments from all of Star Wars. More!

Also, if the use Hayden (and they should), it would be a cool way to tie in the PT and maybe make Anakin seem less like a total tool.

 

bad call dude, it was some of the best scenes because of it's brevity, specifically between Vader and Luke, because of the billed up over the rest of the trilogy and the fact that hayden christianson wasn't in it.

 

haha! That's probably true. But we know that Anakin is ghosting out there somewhere. Maybe he's got some advice on how to deal with Kylo...

Anakin. I think they will use the concept art from The Force Awakens.

 

Right now, I would be there are multiple ghosts in this film. Yoda, Perhaps Obi-Wan, and finally Anakin, using the concept art mentioned already. Does anyone know what Hayden looks like nowadays, or what he's doing during shooting?

Here's my thought putting together Rians "weird" with what he have heard from MSJ. Warning Spuclation/Spoiler alert, can't seem to get the spoler box thing to work right so there's the warning.

Kylo in the 1st part of the film somehow locates Luke. he travels to the planet and we see the aforementioned battles between Luke/Kylo/Rey/Knights of Ren. Rey falls off the cliff or something in the fight and vanishes. Luke comes after Kylo, but slowly. Kylo flees into the Temple. In the temple we see sequences like we have seen in Rebels and Clone wars. One by one Kylo confronts Ghosts and has visions starting with Yoda, then Obi-Wan then Anakin. Anakin has to be last because of Kylo's obsession with him.

Kylo exits and confronts Rey again, but this time something has changed.

I still think something is up with Finn, but am not sure quite what yet.

 

That sounds awesome, I hope you're right. I remember hearing rumors during production of TFA that Luke had gone mad with the force and was in a cave some where levitating things and talking to ghosts. That sounds so heavy, I'd really like to see that

 

My guess is Anakin.

Rey has Luke and doesn't need to much after him. Luke is now three decades later is easily wiser than his years, and in his solitude and the Jedi Temple and the knowledge he has is in abundance.

I do believe the twist is Anakin trying to guide Kylo back for the depths of the dark side by telling him the truth of the events on Endor and how his Uncle saved him. Anakin appearing to Ben would be a great way to help Leia and Luke try and save Ben. Not saying it's possible but if it is.

 

Small problem though, kylo knows about the real story, or at least that was the intention, in a cut scene, Snoke tells Kylo sentiment was Vaders downfall referring to him saving Luke. This scene was finally cut but certainly shows the intent of the writers

I've taken your original idea and ran with it some what.
evil vader ghost could appeal to kylo to be more evil and teach him the darker arts, Emo kylo ren descends into bondage and rubber kylo ren and sadly dies using Vaders mask to asphyxiate himself.
the twist, Kylo Ren returns to harass Rey as a force bondage and rubber ghost.

 

it's true Ben heard the story from Snoke (possibly also Luke and/or Leia ~ we don't know if he ever got Leia's message about Vader or what she said, and we don't know if Luke tried to explain it to him). so he knows what happened on the second Death Star.

that said, it doesn't matter what Snoke has convinced him; hearing it from the horse's mouth could make a difference to him. so i agree with you that Anakin reaching out to Kylo Ren would make the most sense if there's some way to do it (and why not, anyway? Ren's only got one foot in the dark).

This is the line of thinking I am thinking of myself; if you remember Obi - Wan didn't believe Yoda at first when Yoda told him to trust his feellings about Anakin. And only after Anakin looked into the Archives Record of the hologram center did he see Anakin's fall from grace by killing all the younglings;

Obi-Wan: Wait, Master. There is something I must know.
Yoda: If into the security recordings you go, only pain will you find.
Obi-Wan: I must know the truth, Master.

So while Kylo Ren may have one perception hearing from his grandfather directly may just be enough to bring enough doubt back into Ben's mind to question everything once again.

I thought so but didn't know for sure so I wanted to show the context of which I was alluding to and how it has happened before no worries!

 

My $ is on Yoda. He seemed to train & prepare for decades to be a Force Ghost & live on in a enlightened plain. .
Rumors circle that actor Hayden Christensen has been "called up" by Bad Robot & Disney execs but to me, after the 2 second scenes & flash, you miss it, characters in TFA(2015), I would not put much stock into Hayden Christensen being in multiple scenes. It could be in a Kylo Ren incident or to reach out to Rey.
I'm thinking Luke might get axed in EP 8 like Han Solo in TFA.
