Which Lightsaber duel would you be most excited about/interested in?

I like what Lord Skywalker is saying. I believe Kylo will have more brutal hacking gestures as it seems from the trailers and spots but will ultimately have knowledge and practice of both forms you mentioned^. Good call. Honestly, any of these duels I will be chompion at the bit to see BUT apart from really wanting to see Rey's skill with her Bojutsu style against Kylo (lightsaber staff possibly in the future Episodes) I want to see Luke vs. Kylo and even more Luke vs. Snoke (a.k.a. probably.. and HOPING Plagueis) in an epic lightsaber + force duel. I can only imagine if what a lot of people hope is true about Snoke we will get an extra epic force battle with him. If it's Plagueis IF I can't imagine the emotional weight being filtered through the screen when fighting someone who possibly created your father with Sidious via the force (<-legends) and came back from the dead no less. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Plagueis .Luke will have to have absolute control over himself and his feelings to bring Snoke to his downfall. I believe no matter what we are in for a Luke we have yet to see before complete with absolute mastery of the force. I would love to see that go down. Just my personal picks and thoughts.

Most interested in the Rey v. Kylo battle. I think the next 3 movies will be working toward that final battle as a climax.

 

Luke Skywalker vs anyone........I want to see what he can do, his power, his skills. I imagine his force power is so strong that he wouldn't need to use a lightsaber unless he wanted to, but my expectations of his power are likely way too high.

 

Rey (double bladed saber) and Kylo (both fully trained) vs. Snoke.

 

Rey will fight both Snoke and Kylo by herself with force enhanced cybernetic limbs and beat both of them.

 

I think we could see, and I would personally love, Luke and Rey vs. Snoke and possibly Kylo as well. I can imagine Luke fighting Snoke, potentially being killed by him at the end, while Rey battles Kylo and later escapes after Luke's death.

 

I want to see Luke Skywalker take on & defeat all 7 of the Knights of Ren, including Kylo, in a wild mix of lightsaber & Force combat.

I would like to see how the Knights of Ren fall into the storyline. from TFA and lil knowledge that Luke failed at making a new Jedi Order that there are rogue learners of the force and see if they have lightsabers. The Knights of Ren have to be people that fallowed Ben Solo(Kylo Ren) from the dismantle of Luke's Re-Order.

I don't entirely agree that the KOR have to be fallen Jedi Padawans. That could definitely be the case, but I don't think it's the only option. From the photos we've seen of what we assume are the Knights of Ren, they all seem to possess a diverse option of weapons, ranging from the Trisaber, to blasters, to a Poleaxe.

I myself am interested in the Knights more than almost anything in the new trilogy. 7 new unique badasses.

 

I'm not saying that the KOR are Jedi padiwans. If Luke lost the somewhat Jedi academy and failed at the attempt then im just saying that half went rogue and the other became KOR. from TFA, you dont have to be a Jedi to wield a lightsaber. this trilogy is more the ability of the force. if Kylo Ren was taught by Luke and Luke is the last of the jedi then he was searching to organize a new jedi order. when you said your interested in the nights and seem to possess a saber "KOR" then they would be wielding a lightsaber like Kylo and taught from luke prior. do you understand what i was saying with the KOR? im interested in how they will factor in the trilogy. it could be a flashback or future vision with KOR. maybe kylo had to defect from them to further his training with snoke.

added: with a link on SWNN, KOR was established for awhile and kylo was apart of it. so im guessing its either they are together or divided within the darkside. IDK...

I understand your views. I do want to see KOR fight with saber. Kylo Ren was apart of KOR. KOR is stated to be a group establish during the fall of Luke jedi academy. the vision of Luke with R2D2 and seeing the KOR with Kylo in the rain is I think a past vision that leads Luke to vanish to the island. I think Luke fights the group and loses his lightsaber during it cause I think he tried to regain Kylo Ren back. Just saying that KOR is force driven and was apart of Luke trying to reestablish the Jedi Order once upon a time in a galaxy far far away.

In the novelization, the scene is expanded upon, stating that Luke drops to his knees & places his hand on the droid. I see this as similar to other characters such as Yoda during Order 66, & believe that Luke is not present at the Academy during the massacre, but is sensing it from afar.

Finally, I do not believe the KOR will use lightsabers, I think Kylo will be the only one with a saber. & therefore do not believe they were padawans of Luke, except Kylo.

A new theory I have is that Rey is Luke Skywalker's daughter, & that her mother was killed in the massacre on the Jedi academy.

 

WOrd. If feel the same with Rey being Luke's daughter. totally different thread. Cant wait to see how they plan it out. I gotcha tho. I feel if they flashback to KOR I wouldnt be surprise if they do wield a lightsaber.

 

I said Finn v Snoke just because I hadn't ever even really considered the possibility before, but I think it would be hilarious.

I voted for Rey vs Kylo because a second round fight will have even more aggression/more to lose. Rey clearly won round one and I'm certain it brings Kylo anger in himself for not being able to defeat or even bring her over to his side. So he will be furious in the rematch. Rey still despises Kylo at the moment even though she's confused by his actions. I feel like Rey will possibly lose the fight or come very close to doing so. I'm also hoping the match will be the start of redemption for Kylo but! We'll see.
