I have read all the new canon novels so far and there are some great ones. But if I had to pick one book that I could read again and enjoy it as much if not more it would be Bloodlines. Especially now with the passing of our beloved Princess.
She is such a strong character in that book. Plus it was so well written.

Lost Stars and Lords of the Sith would be runner ups.

Wow, I'm still trying desperately to catch up. I listened to the audible( thought it would be an easy way to catch up) of Catalyst but reading it now because I missed so much from just listening. So no more audibles for me. Then I'm going to read the RO novelization then going all the way back to Dark Disciple, and then, read them according to the Random house books official Star Wars timeline.

That sounds like a good plan!
I haven't done an audiobook before. I like the feel of a book in my hands, especially the hardcovers. I have started reading the Legends books now. I'm half way through Plageius.

I would also read Battlefront: Twilight Company again. It was one of the most consistently paced novels imo. Certain parts of Tarkin and Bloodline dragged on a little too long for my liking.

I would add Tarkin to those - the book is not just a great dissection of the character which, prior to Rogue One, had maybe 15 lines, but also great insight into the functioning of the Empire, relationships between Empire's Big Three - Sheev (name dropped here for the first time), Vader and Tarkin - and some of Palpatine's long term plans.

Some people say it's a dense book and it is - but I like it because it is.

Tarkin is definitely in my top five. I liked how it showed Tarkins and Vaders early relationship and how they respected and appreciated one another. Which explains why Tarkin was able to control him in ANH.

In my honest opinion Star Wars Novels tend to lack a little bit (to say the least), they don't have any kind of innovative idea and keep reusing several ideas from other novels and Star Wars Movies, and the writing is so dull and completely boring.

I usually only read Star Wars Novels because they are related to Star Wars because their literary value is really very low. Thrawn's trilogy by T. Zahn is the best SW Novel to me but is copykating Sw movies all the way and the entire narrative seems conceived for Young Adults.

In terms of Star Wars stick to the Comics, at least most of them are original enough and their narrative in the Comic Direct Form cuts away many of their faults.

If in any case you all prefer reading Novels, please try the real good ones instead and forget the SW milking novels, give yourselfs a big favor an take a shot at:
    - Dune, by Frank Herbert (AMZING, the best Sci Fi Novel ever, Dune II - Messiah is also incredibly god)
    - Stars My Destination, by Alfred Bester
    - The Demolished Man, by Alfred Bester
    - Stanger In a Strange Land, by Robert Heinlein (actually every single novel of Heinlein is superb but this one is over the top)
    - Foundation Series, by Isaac Asimov
    - 1984, by George Orwell
    - The Forever War, by Joe Haldeman
    - Discworld Series, by Terry Pratchett (the best well written novels i've ever seen)
    - Null - A, by Van Vogt (I and II are amazing but don't read III because it stinks really bad)
    - The Man in the High Castle, by Phillip K Dick (Ubik is also a must read)
    - Dayworld Trilogy, by Philip Jose Farmer (my childhood favorites)
    - Space Merchants & The Merchants War, by Frederik Pohl (both books in one volume as "Venus Inc.")

EDIT: On a side Note, "Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman is THE BEST NOVEL of the last years, i highly recommended it because is so funny.

    Bloodline is a great read.

Aftermath: Life Debt was also one of my favourites.

After watching RO, I want to read again A New Hope: The Princess, The Scoundrel and The Farm Boy, as well as Lost Stars. I am truly enjoying to see how it all connects, and how we can see things from another point of view.

I recently read the RO novelisation by Alexander Freed. Definitely a must read. He expands what we saw in the movie in a great way.

RO novel is next on my list. I'm looking forward to Thrawn coming out this spring. Be interesting to see how the new canon version of him will be.

I have read more than once, Weapon of a Jedi, Moving Target, Lost Stars, Bloodline, Aftermath, Aftermath Life Debt, and the novelization and junior novelization of The Force Awakens more than once. Life Debt, Bloodline and Lost Stars were my favorites.

Oh I forgot The Princess, the Smuggler and the Farm Boy. That was great and worth reading and adds to the story. I have read that more than once. The other two are good as well that are like that, but they aren't as great as that one. I would probably read Ahsoka and Tarkin again.

While I wait for the Rogue One novelization to arrive, I'm rereading Bloodline again--a little personal tip of my hat to our princess.

I would read most of them again honestly. The ones I would be most likely to re-read at this point are Lost Stars and Bloodlines. The one I would be least likely to re-read is the first Aftermath book(aside from the interludes).

At this point though, seeing as how I am pretty much caught up, I've been sticking to keeping up with the comics. My other reading time is devoted to other comics and novels outside of the Star Wars universe.

Of all the new canon novels the one I enjoyed the most was probably Lost Stars, which was surprising to me since the synopsis for the book sounded like a terrible romance novel. Honestly though I would probably re-read all of them because even the not so good ones (Aftermath 1, and Heir to the Jedi) are still Star Wars and have something interesting of their own. Dark Disciple is another I wasn't sure I would like but was blown away by and it gives me hope that one day soon they'll announce the novelization of some of the other unproduced Clone Wars episodes like Dark Disciple was, especially the Utapau one, which had Depa Bilaba so they could insert Padawan Kanan if they wanted, and the Echo-cybrog arc.

I only have all the canon comics, does anyone have any novel suggestions to start me off? I want to have all eventually anyway but for now? Anyone?

Lost Stars is a good character driven piece, as is Bloodlines, which is an even more poignant read now given Carrie Fisher's passing. If you want more info on the backstory of Rogue One, Catalyst is another great option, Tarkin also complements it, although that one isn't for everybody(I really enjoyed it though). Not too many ways to go wrong, although Heir to the Jedi is highly skippable. Aftermath is pretty divisive for some, although even if you don't like it, I think it's worth it to get to Life Debt.

I agree, Lost Stars is a great read, one of my favorites. It would be a great start since it covers all the major moments of the OT through the eyes of the two main characters.
Plus the hardcover version just looks cool!
