In all 3 movies, there were so many places that Luke and his friends visited, from Tatooine to Endor. My personal favorite was Tatooine. It was filled with so many different species and lifeforms.Especially Jabba's palace. How about you?

My favorite place was the senate building, it was so big so many star systems crammed into one room, floating platforms etc, politics is a big thing.

Tatooine certainly was interesting. But desolate. Culture-wise probably the best, as it's a huge mashup of people running from every which direction of the galaxy. I suppose I'd have to go with it because it's good enough that we've been to it for what, 5 movies now? And with a (much disputed) possibility of it being the desert planet in TFA.

I may be biased because it was the first Star Wars planet I ever saw. Plus,Jabba's Palace and his friends just blew my mind in Jedi.As far as prequels, the Pod Race says it all.Love that scene.

Call me odd, but my favorite place is the Death Star.

This is the shot that made it my favorite-

I always thought the Stormtroopers in space was odd.

I know, it's kinda freaky. They definitely give a sense of the massive scale of the Death Star.

One of the things I like, but I don't know why, is the fact that there are no hand railings and such.

One wrong step, and into a nearly bottomless chasm you go!

Bespin was the location that most captured my imagination. The OT spent most of it's time in remote or desolate areas, but Bespin was a thriving urban type environment that featured a ton of really cool sets. On the surface it was an almost magical city floating in clouds, bathed in a warm sunset color pallet (which set it dramatically apart from the cold interiors of the giant imperial ships), but real danger lurked within its depth - making it the one place in the entire OT that felt truly ominous.

And it didn't hurt that some of the trilogy's best moments took place there.

Well, one of Lucas' original ideas was that the armor that Vader and the stormtroopers wore was air-tight so that they could jump between one starship and another (as in when the star destroyer overtakes the Princess' ship at the beginning of ANH.)

I've always thought that this shot of the two troopers outside the Death Star (a favorite shot of mine from the original movie too!) was probably a remnant of that concept.

I actually think I'm about due for another read of Rinzler's making-of book about that first SW flick. I love all of the odd concepts that briefly appeared and then just sort of faded away as production progressed.

As much as we've seen it in virtually every SW movie so far (except for Empire) I have to say that Tatooine is always my favorite film environment too. I've always found myself saving it for last in the various SW videogames like KOTOR and the Jedi Knight games where you could choose where to go next. I know it's mainly just sand and sky and sun, but it just feels the most like Star Wars to me (as was noted above, probably because that was the first SW planet I ever saw.)

Hasbro put out a cool looking Spacetrooper figure back in 2008 as part of The Legacy Collection.

    Description and pic from Rebelscum.com-

"Specialized stormtroopers, dubbed "spacetroopers," are deployed to Zero-G environments, such
as areas outside the Death Star’s artificially generated atmosphere. They wear specially designed
suits that have sealed armor and are equipped with rebreather packs
    ."

Same here. Probably because they spent so little screen time on it, compared to other locations. I also enjoyed the two contrasting levels. The surface had this pristine, sunlit air to it, like it was a front for what takes place below. It had a real Eloi/Morlocks feel to it, to me.
