    Very interesting to hear from someone who saw the PT first. You say the OT felt completely different which shows how much GL fu**ed it up. I mean I like the PT very much and it is very original indeed but he ruined the consistency which is unforgivable .

    As for ranking the movies :
    1.ESB
    2.ANH
    3.ROTJ
    4.TFA
    5.ROTS
    6.AOTC
    7.TPM

    3-5 is hard to me sometimes they feel interchangeable.

    After all is said and done EP 8 and 9 could be ranked anywhere from 1 to 9.

    Ah and don’t got me wrong I love everyone of them very much even TPM.

    I am a prequel fan but Sequel Trilogy also got my attention. Btw I like OT too.

    Love it all but I was 9 when Phantom Menace came out so watching those podracers across the screen was my '77 Star Destroyer cruising overhead over Tatooine moment. Because it brought me in to Star Wars the PT has always had a special place in my heart, even with its flaws.

    ANH for me, been a Star Wars fan ever since, been there since the beginning; I like the prequels, love the OT, and admire the ST and Standalones. Star Wars created trilogies, advanced VFX, and is my generations mythology. I look forward to every iteration. SOLO IN 5 MONTHS, still hope they don't move the release date... haha

    I think the OT are better movies overall, but the PT for me has a much more interesting, underlying story. Plus the world-building is amazing, making the galaxy feel bigger and more connected. I also prefer the setting with Jedi in their prime, because you can immerse yourself into the galaxy in a more fantastical way. I feel the OT resonates much more with human emotion, while the PT explores more philosophical, moral and political themes.

    I don't like the ST because it doesn't bring anything new to the table. It doesn't explore new themes or new stories - it's taking things from the previous movies, changes them only slightly, and then repackages them to suit a modern audience.
