I can't believe it, but we are almost a month til TFA, and I made it pretty much spoiler free! I went totally spoiled to ROTS as I knew the whole movie from beginning to end and regretted about 5 minutes into the movie. I vowed to stay away from most spoilers from TFA, but I do know some minor spoilers from the trailers and promotional stuff, but nothing major.

I honestly thought I would buckle and click on any spoiler material on social media, but I resisted (for now). Anybody else stay away from most major spoilers?

There really hasn't been to much spoilers to be had anyways. Anytime I see anything that looks like it will be a spoiler I stay clear from.......but I have been speculating and reading speculations like crazy lol

Regarding TFA, nothing is a spoiler until it's been spoiled started 12/16/2015.

Any time i've seen something tagged as a plot spoiler, I have avoided it. But I've watched the trailers several times, started reading the Journey to Force Awakens material, and have become an active member in this community. I do not want to know the plot of the movie, but seeing the characters, the special effects, lightsabers, I just can't help but get excited.

I've lurked around and speculated a bit but am still spoiler free.
If I were to watch a ST movie now, my only expectations for the story would be:

It's probable, being a Star Wars opera that
    • Some character(s) will overcome or be overwhelmed by a difficulty
    • Some character(s) will be “redeemed “or undergo “a fall”
It's possible, being a Star Wars opera that at any time
    • Any character could say “I've a bad feeling about this” or “it's not my fault”
    • Any character could be revealed to be family
    • Any character (including still-contracted ones) could die - and even still possibly feature in future episodes as ghost or flash-back
    • Any hidden face could be any other character not in scene
As clear as mud in other words!
I hope I can say the same in a month...

I'm definitely disappointed in myself for looking at all the spoilers, I just could t resist. I needed MORE! I'm very jealous of my little brother who has remained mostly ignorant to most of the information and will go into TFA without any expectations. If I could do it over again... Oh who am I kidding, I know I'd still look at the spoilers.

I've seen the trailers, I've read some speculations but I think they're only speculations. Nobody knows, people just speculate and get their fantasms in reality but noone have clues of what will really happen.

I haven't read alot of spoilers, other then knowing that Luke Skywalker is nowhere to be found in Disney's marketing. Without getting specific, how do you guys know if the spoilers you are reading are true or not?

That's how I manage to put myself at ease, by telling myself that there's a sizable chance a lot of the things that I think I know that could be wrong. But there are a few things that are concrete.

There's no real way to know. But if the the things you're reading get reaffirmed over and over again in the official content that's put out, the chances that it's legit increases.

Kudos to you guys who stayed spoiler-free. I have not, but I'm debating whether or not to shut off the pipeline from this point until I see it on Thursday. It'll be hard to do!

On one hand I would like to know a few spoilers (Where is Luke? who is Rey's parents? Did Han/Leia get married?) cause there are so many things I am worried about going into the movie plot wise that it may detract from my initial viewing. But at this point, I have made it this far so I'm going in cold turkey, and I will see it a 2nd time next weekend so I won't have to worry about those questions then as it will be a totally different experience.

Hehe, as pointed out by many: the speculations are only speculations until proved true....I've read a lot but I think I'll still be surprised since I'm staying in blackout from last weekend until this Thursday/Friday. I admit, it's tough, resisting all the leaks/spoilers I know are now there. But I am committed to this decision. After Thursday, I'll know which of my speculations were true, and which a total miss! Thursday cannot come too soon!!! (duel)

I'm holding out as much as possible. I'm really trying my utmost not to read any spoilers.
Very difficult when you want to see what peoples reaction tweets are.

Come on.... Only 2 more sleeps. :(

The good thing is most celebrities who were at the premiere have just tweeted their opinion of the movie, but nothing specific.

I am spoiler free, have not logged on here or any other site (Not a member of any other site) for weeks.

Will be seeing SW7 in twelve hours with my sons and can't believe we get to see it together.

Have been a little disappointed in the Disney Blitzcrieg on Marketing but that's life I guess.

If you want to know anything ask me after I see it three or four times, it takes me that long to work it all out usually.

Enjoy everyone and speak in a week!!!(star destroyer)

There better be a Star Destoyer in opening scene....

I made it! It was brutally hard, but just as you, I felt so cheated in ROTS because I knew all of it. I was so anxious to see how Anakin turned. Boy was that a disappointment. Sold his soul for no reason, and didn't seem very mad about it. Anyway, I said early on when I looked at some leaked design drawings, "better stop before someone posts big spoilers" and stopped. Since then only canon material released by Lucasfilm, some trailer message boards, and some other spoiler free forums.

I have only seen three potential spoilers (I won't share) and only two seem possible and both would be positives in my mind. Until I see it I will worry that the new ones may lack the depth and mythology of the first two trilogies. But JJ was damn good at suspense and anticipation when he was doing LOST. Let's just hope Kasdan made sure they had an endpoint in mind. Unlike in LOST.

I had been having a look for a while when most Spoiling was theoretical or based on hunch logic, but I felt that at a couple of month's out you kind of destroy the magic if you try and know too much, It's all about fun and entertainment and who know's we may even get a buzz out of the film with a few surprises. If I have any 'wow' moments I will report back, only four hours now .. if Kasdan has taken the message out, there will be a lot of toys getting thrown back .. may the force be with us.
