    Haha. I think the actor would be pretty game on coming back. I've heard he enjoys going to the conventions and what-not. Has he had much of a career anyway?

    I think he should be an ally, Waltz has a great range as an actor. Let's not type cast him, and do something amazing with him!

    Yes, it would. I would like to see Christoph Waltz play a protagonist again. After all, "CRYSTAL SKULL" revealed that Indy had a German friend who was willing to help him get a job after the U.S. government had him blacklisted.


    However, I heard a rumor that it might be the Soviets. It would be like "LAST CRUSADE" . . . again.

    What I meant was . . . "INDY 5" could end up doing the same thing that "LAST CRUSADE" did - bring back a previous villain. "LAST CRUSADE" brought back the Nazis and "INDY 5" could bring back the Soviets.

    If it's Chinese military I'd think it would be a rogue faction though, because Indiana Jones usually plays it safe and uses villains whose nations no longer exist as dominant political organizations. But otherwise I think an east Asian faction is a good bet, because the utility of the Nazis and Communists as bad guys was their notoriety in Western society--these factions are household-name bad guys, plus they were highly militarily powerful factions, which makes them seem really intimidating (and thus tension-adding) bad guys.

    Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietmanese. I don't think any of them will be picked, as it's easy for the western world to accidentally offend those nations.

    Besides, conflicts like the Vietnam War aren't really looked upon in the same way as the World Wars, as America and co. had no right to interfere. It's just smart to avoid them :).
