The ghosts remind me of Flubber...especially The Slimer Thing..

It's funny to see a 'certified fresh' film with a knocked over bucket of corn.

As much as it could be blamed on a firesafe of the reviews I think this movie deserves this rating though maybe it will hold over time and become higher
.

 

I would concur. I was pegging this film a tad bit south of XM:A prior to this week.
As for the score.. generally speaking that particular score doesn't go up..

 

It could havebeen worse but but remember it's meant to be the same .

 

I think I will wait for the dvd to watch it.

 

Okay, so, at the risk of beating a dead horse, it has come to my attention in the past 24 hours that my anal-sys of the amount of feminism in GB may very well be innacurate.
In particular, I am talking about this:

I would probably disagree with him on the mansion owner, I mean, what's he gonna do? Shoot the ghost with a gun? Yeah, that'll work...
But that's splitting hairs, and I can see the main point he's trying to make. The feminism is not in the portrayal of the women and overt jokes as much as it's in the portrayal of the men.
I'm kinda split on this logic..
Well, I'll start off by saying that Tuxedo Mask isn't going to save this movie. Let's just get that out of the way.
I'll also state that I would describe every supporting female character in the 2016 film as a @#%$&. Real Estate Agent.. @#%$&. Waitresses.. @#%$&es. Ms Federal Agent.. total @#%$&. Even the cameos of the old female cast had roles that had them acting like @#%$&es. I don't know if this is also a telltale sign of feminism afoot.. I'm guessing not because nobody is making a video about it..
Now, let's think back to the suporting male cast of GB 1984..

Using the amount of breadth 'Roach Eater' gives these definitions.. It's reasonable to conclude that every suporting character in that room is either an idiot or an @$$hole.
Buzzerboy was an idiot. The Matre'd was an @$$hole. Tully.. mucho grande idiot.
So is this agenda or this just style? Honestly, I think.. like much of this movie, it comes down to chance cubes. I mean, I know the backstory of this movie as much as you guys do. It's likely both agenda and style.

But I can see the writing on the wall. Just like Landis redifined 'Mary Sue' via the mob.. this is going to define whether a movie is feminist from now on. So I'm posting this to let you guys known I'm going to add this 'phenomenon' to my critiques of films.
