    Out of all the themes that were played in the movie which one is your favorite? For me it goes to Rey without out a doubt

    I'm also in the Rey camp. It fits her character perfectly. I expect it will evolve with her character in future films.

    Luke's theme was barely in the movie. The Force theme is NOT Luke's theme. Luke's theme traditionally has been the opening crawl motif and it barely appears in this film - for good reason.

    You're right. But when we hear it, it's fantastic. And I particularly loved the uses of the Force theme. There were always appropriate.

    Rey & Snoke's themes MAKE THIS MOVIE. Rey's more than any other. Perfectly supplies her character, from what we know of her.

    Forget themes! The music of the final scene with Rey climbing up the steps really blew me away. The climax, paired with Luke turning around and taking his hood off, brought me to tears. John Williams, you may be a little rusty, but you've still got it.

    If you haven't already, you need to check it out!!

    I really like Rey's theme but I had to put a vote for Han and Leia's because it was the one that really got to me. That scene towards the end where Leia goes to hug Rey and you hear the love theme, threw me back to all the times in the OT where it played during Han and Leia's best moments. Then it ended on a note that sounded final, as if we're hearing it for the last time, I completely lost it. That song evoked so much emotion.

    But for a new theme, definitely Rey's.

    While I love Rey's Theme (and I'll vote for it) and Jedi Steps, after seeing the movie again yesterday, March of the Resistance really popped out for me:



    I also like musical cue whenever Kylo's ship arrives (It appears in The Attack on the Jakku Village and Kylo Ren Arrives at the Battle).

    Whenever old themes appeared, even for a few notes, it just brought all the memories back. But, I liked that they were not overused. So, when Han and Leia's theme starts, it just destroys you.

    Yeah and the fact we'll never truly see Han and Leia together on screen ever again (not in flashbacks or anthology films)

    Rey's theme is the standout track from the soundtrack as a whole to me... so I voted for it.

    The soundtrack is a 'grower' as all good music should be. Wouldn't be surprised if Rey's theme is reorchestrated into a more triumphant version when we see Rey again in the future as a trained Jedi. I really, reallyhope Williams makes it to episode 9 to complete the trilogy.

    as far as the character themes go Rey's is definitely my favorite. however I do like the Jedi Steps the best out of all the music in the film :)

    Rey's Theme is my new favourite piece of Star Wars music, taking the place of Yoda and The Force from ESB.

    It's just fantastic.

    Rey's is just perfect.
    But I can't get Kylo's theme out of my head for some reason ( my brother thinks his other, muted theme is really Ben's theme and I think thats exactly right ^_^).

    Rey's, yes.
    But when you listen to Kylo's (Kylo Ren arrives at the Battle) and at 1:42 appear just a few notes of the love theme... Aborted before it even starts.
    That is what breaks me

    The Scavenger is great too! Something about the lone piano gave me goosebumps when I first heard it. Really showed Rey's isolation and loneliness of Jakku.

    The moment you mention is the "romantic/sweeping" part of Rey's theme actually - very similar to the love theme in terms of progression though - almost it's mirror.

    Poe's / Flying theme first appears around 1:19 of "I Can Fly Anything".
    Finn's theme first appears around 1:10 of "Follow Me".
    They both appear next to each other in the end credits :).

    Nice hearing btw.
    It hadn't even occured to me that both themes are shaped so similarily.
