Whose death did you think was the saddest?

In the prequels, definitely Anakin, in the OT, definitely Anakin, in the ST, well there was no meaningful death so far.

 

I felt so bad for that one Rebel on Scariff who was so optimistic about flicking off the switch and he takes one step and gets killed.

Chirrut and Baze's death together is sadder than either one individually.

I always felt really sad for Ki Adi Mundi because when he turns around you can see the realization in his eyes that he has been betrayed and he seemed so sad at that fact. At least he took some Clones with him.

Plo Koon's death was pretty sad even though he was not physically shot.

Anakin, Qui-Gon and Han were the saddest for me. I shed tears when they died. No other deaths made me cry.

 

I think the some of the saddest deaths I have seen was Han, Baze and Chirrut, and K2-SO

 

Anakin's death is the saddest for me. (I know, shocker.) But when he finally breaks free from the metaphorical grip of Vader only to die as the good-hearted man that was Anakin Skywalker, it's a bit sad.

 

Hans Hands up poor guy his own son killed him!!!

 

Yoda's.

 

The death of all in the choices are all sad, however, if I have to choose, I will choose Obi-Wan because among others, his death is very pathetic.

 

Anakin's, easily.

It's probably the most evocative death in the entire series. Seeing the man who existed before the grim visage of Vader accepting the punishment for all his sins while exacting justice upon the man who had ultimately orchestrated the galaxy's suffering. All to grasp at the last vestige of humanity that his son had dug up. To make his child proud of his father for the first and final time.

A lot of what surrounds TFA makes Han's death genuinely ring hollow for me. Honestly, I find a lot of these votes kind of ridiculous.

 

For me, it was the whole Order 66 montage.

 

Snoke's death was very heartbreaking.

 

I remember as a kid I was so sad to see Anakin Skywalker die without spending time with his son and daughter together. Watching the bright light take Jyn and Cassian had me shed some tears.

Most emotional death - Anakin Skywalker

Least emotional death - Snoke

Funniest death - Qui-Gon-Jinn (only because of the look on his face combined with Obi-Wan's "NOOOOoooOOOOOoooooOOOOOOooo!"

Most expected death - Han Solo

Most useless death - Luke Skywalker (dying from using the Force too hard, lol)

Most requested death from fans - Jar Jar Binks

 

I voted Anakin in RotJ, but his demise in RotS was pretty gut wrenching as well. I might have voted Luke, but I don't think he's dead.

 

I think Ep6 Anakin's death was more joyful than anything. He finally came back from this monster he had been twisted into becoming

 

I think that the saddest death is in ROTJ when that one ewok was killed by AT-ST which was chasing them and his friend tried to awake him but failed.

 

Qui Gon, because of how Obi Wan reacted so suddenly. It was like Obi Wan's, except Obi died willingly while Qui Gon had a look on his face like he didn't want to die just yet because he needed to raise Anakin. Han is a close second, but it was spoiled for me so I saw it coming. If I wasn't spoiled that would've been the saddest.

 

For me it has always been Mace Windu. Mainly because that is the turning point of Anakin. Anakin also just gained his trust and you KNOW things would start working out for Anakin after darth sidious is dead(With the council), but even though I know it's better for the plot with Anakin intervening and turning, I just hate seeing it being so close to being stopped.
