The ST features a number of relatively new faces. From the super green Daisy Ridley to the slightly more recognizable John Boyega to the I-know-that-guy-from-somewhere Oscar Isaac, the cast is full of potential. So let's predict the future and pick which actor will go on to become the most BANKABLE star in Hollywood. Who will become a marquee name that the studios can count on to carry a film?

Remember, this is to guess who will have the most PROFITABLE career not the most CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED. This is limited to roles in FRONT of the camera... producing and directing successful vehicles does NOT count.

Case in point, Carrie Fisher has had a wonderful career as a writer and stage performer. THAT DOESN'T MATTER! We're looking for the next Harrison Ford... the ST actor whose name will become a Hollywood ACTING brand, singlehandedly lifting box office receipts for every film its attached to.

Let's do this! Don't forget to post your reasons why!

I'll kick things off. My money's on Oscar Isaac. He's shown wonderful range already - from Drive to Inside Llewyn Davis, plus he's just been cast as Apocalypse for that superhero cred/bank. I find him interesting to look at and he's a genuine chameleon that can pass for a myriad of ethnicities.

    Your turn.

I wish I could pick more than one!
Isaac is already going good. He's going to be the MAIN VILLAIN in the next X-Men movie for cryin' out loud!
Next I would choose Nyong'o since she already has awards.
The doors will probably open for Boyega to get roles in American movies and same for Ridley.
Driver has been in a few comedies, notably the one with Jason Bateman so sounds like things are going good for him too.
Gleeson.... I'm not sure, it really depends on his role in the movie.
Christie will keep on keepin’ on with Game of Thrones I'm sure.
Chong and Anderson will continue to be nobodies although they may make an appearance on the next season of American Ninja Warrior if they know what's good for 'em!

I can't even comment* because they're all unknown to me, except for John Boyega, but I didn't enjoy Attack the Block one bit.

*Except this technically is a comment, hmm.

Oscar is not THAT safe a bet when you consider he's not that tall and his ethic looks could potentially work against him. Def not your expected leading man.

Boyega has shown he can carry a film... He was the leading manboy in Attack the Block for sure... But I think his accent will hurt him... Beyond that... There seems to be a scarcity of talented young black male actors (or at least ones that Hollywood pitches for things) so he's be my number two pick.

Driver seems to be weighed down by his hipster trappings due to Girls. His physical appearance is polarizing though millennials are much more open minded in regards to traditional good looks. Just can't see him being a force onscreen. More of a character actor IMHO.

Daisy is definitely the wild card. Pretty enough to do casual fare and period pieces a la Keira Knightley... Question is whether she can tap into the rom-com vein for easy money.

Do your homework!!! J/k Go watch Drive at least. One of the greatest opening scenes in the history of film, for me anyway. The pacing/editing and music-into-credits of that intro... Now that's how you start a film!

I saw Drive, but don't remember anybody in it other than the lead guy. Didn't make much of an impression, save for the opening sequence.

Oscar was the scumbag father of the little boy. Tries to make things right when he gets out of prison, but immediately falls back into the wrong crowd. Killed, etc. The soundtrack of Drive is very memorable! And the strange monotony of the main character punctuated by extreme violence when you least expect it. Also, the "Drivers" jacket was badass. lolz.

    999!!! Get your lurk on.

    Oops! Wrong thread. Sorry

Very good point. When will we get the trailer for the most anticipated Steve jobs biopic? BIGGER than Star Wars?

My point exactly. Give it eight months and see if you aren't sick of it all. Yeah?

I'm thinking Oscar Isaac, if he is part Han Solo and part Lando Calrissian, he may be my favorite character ever.... But we'll see.

Isaac is also similar to Ford in the sense he has had some well liked roles (Inside Llywen Davis to Ford's American Graffiti) but isn't exactly a household name, but will be by the end of this film. Isaac isn't a Ford leading man, but his exotic looks and impressive acting skills will carry him

Nyong'o has an Oscar to her name, Star Wars will see if she can break into being a mainstream A-lister

Boyega can make a name for himself as the next big young black actor, he can play a traditional leading man more so than Isaac I feel.

Gleeson and Driver seem to be more destined for careers as character actors. Driver was big in mumblecore thanks to Frances Ha, and his work in Girls has cemented him as a top hipster actor. I'm not sure if he can break out of that. Gleeson is iffy, Star Wars is a make or break thing for him

Pip and Chong would need performances of a lifetime to become A-listers

Christie has a bright future as the go-to "big tough girl"

Ridley is a mystery since she is so obscure, similar almost to Hamill and we all know what happened to him (greatest Joker of all time ;) haha). But she will be a hot commodity because of Star Wars

Would it be weird if she is the new Luke and later goes on to portray Harley Quinn?

Not for a while if ever as Margot Robbie of Wolf of Wall Street fame has been cast as Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad film.
