I would say, if Lucasfilm wants to stay on target, chances for this are 0%. Luke to order his student to kill someone as a solution? Luke who went against similar opinion of two of his teachers? And because he did, helped his father to come back to himself and the Light again? He would have to do 180° personality turn for this to happen. Unless he watched Kylo personally skin children and eat puppies alive, in which case the chances are 5%, this should never happen. Just my two cents.

I find it very hard to believe too, especially if Han is right about Luke blaming himself to some extent. I can't imagine Luke wanting his nephew dead no matter what.

Agreed. More likely is that Luke will want Rey to "confront" Kylo not "kill" him, similar to how Yoda told Luke he must "confront" Vader.

Without even getting into Reylo territory, I think Rey has a lot of complicated feelings about Kylo -- mind-melding with him during the interrogation scene, watching him kill Han, watching him try to kill Finn, dueling with him even as he propositions her to become his student/partner -- and Luke might feel she needs to confront and resolve those issues if she wants to achieve a kind of synthesis with her Force powers. Until then, it's like an itch you can't scratch that will hold back her development.

When I think about this, I wonder if what CF said about Rey being "very forgiving" is what she was talking about.
