SPECULATION Why did Yoda trick Luke about the scripts (they were saved by Rey)?

Now we know Yoda made some kind of test,or joke over Luke in the scene of burning down the Force tree on Ahch-To.

Luke tried to burn, than actually to save the ancient Jedi scriptures.

Than Yoda summoned the Lightning which turned it all in to a fire.

For Luke it was apparent books were destroyed in that moment, and Yoda puts the talk with Luke in a sense of value of those books, and in this moment it was apparent Luke believes they were destroyed, and Yoda tells him nothing about the real truth.

Yoda's Force spirit, now one with the Force surely knows books are not anymore in there.Yet contests Luke like they are destroyed.

The truth is Rey has taken the books..!

(they are shown onboard Millenium falcon, last scene).

    Why?

    Question:

Did Yoda actually told Rey to take the books?

Since OT Yoda was a prankster. ;)

My take is that he is teaching Luke the last lesson:

Luke Skywalker: So it is time for the Jedi Order to end.
Master Yoda: Time it is... for you to look past a pile of old books, hmm?

He is teaching him the difference between letting go and destroying ('killing') of the past and finding fate into those who come after you. The fact that Ren is lost doesn't mean that Rey will be. And the things she has and are crucial to her success aren't in the books ('that library contained nothing that the girl Rey does not already possess'). But, that doesn't mean that she has nothing to learn from them. Jedi as they were need to die only to continue forward as something different and - hopefully - better.

Plus, it would be awkward if after delivering the lesson Yoda said: "Only joking was I." :D

No. We can actually see the moment she is storing the books in the Falcon - after her confrontation with Luke (he rejected her once again) and before she delivers herself to Kylo (silly girl), she is closing the drawer Finn will open later in the film. At this point in time, she believes that Luke is lost to her and Ben is galaxy's the only hope (silly girl 2). Preserving the books probably seemed like the best way for her to learn.

So Yoda indeed "pranked" Luke about the books.
Could there there be something else what Yoda, presumably could not have told to Luke and that Yoda knows?

    What that could be?

    Let say about the girl?

I really don't think there is any more than what we saw in the film, because I don't think Yoda is there because of Rey - he's there because of Luke.

Why I have feeling Yoda showed because of both Luke and Rey.Because of their relationship?

Why is Yoda showing only after Rey leaved?

Also, why is Rey so connected with Luke actually at the end, everyone talks about Kylo, well actually at the end of the film strongest bond is between Rey and Luke, Rey felt emotional details of his passing almost above the level Leia could.

Because her leaving made Luke want to burn the tree in the first place: "another one lost".

That's not we saw in the movie. Both Rey and Leia react to his death at the same time; when Rey says her 'peace and purpose' line, Leia says "I felt it too". One is his sister, the other just spent time with him learning about the Force. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One of those occasions where people are reading to much into it.

Simple answer is Johnson wanted the scene between Yoda and Luke where Yoda burnt the trees, but he also wanted Rey to have the books, so he did both.

The one is his sister , naturally has strong bond, and the other is one that had a physical figh with him when they were last time together.....can you repeat that again about what you believes connects Rey and Luke across the galaxy?

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I repeat for your reading pleasure. Nothing but the Force and the fact that he WAS her teacher regardless how they parted.

You can try to get as philosophical as you want to try and justify this movie... The fact is the story was just terribly written.

No it wasn't. Just because it didn't go the way you wanted, then obviously it must be terrible writing....

Sadly, so many feel very strongly that their opinion is in fact a fact when it is simply just an opinion. Just my opinion.

I don't think Yoda told Rey anything. She went to Luke for help but wasn't getting what she expected, so she checked out some educational material from the library which she though could possibly help her later. I wouldn't read to much into hit. Just have to take what we are shown at face value.

Well, if you go by the comic book adaptation of Force Awakens, it was ghost Yoda and ghost Obi Wan who called to Rey on Takodona through the lightsaber, and showed her the Forceback scenes.

I think you making the mistake of assuming everyone who didn't like the film didn't like it just because their favourite theory didn't happen. A lot of people have no problem with the over all plot, just found the writing and the execution of the story poor.

Geez, they jumped on me quick, and ya RJ didn't take it the direction I would have but that's not what I don't like about it.

I was just trying to suggest that maybe if you have to rationalize and justify a story decision by doing pseudo-philosophy to make it work... maybe it's not that you didn't understand it, maybe it was just written badly.

If you simply take the plot line on face value with only the information the movie gives us, my OPINION is that it was poorly written. ;)

A lot of people just can't deal with people not agreeing with their opinion or not liking something they like so try and ways to be little them to undermine their opinion.

I mean, a lot of people also go out of their way to try to ruin others' interest in a topic.

Let people like things. Don't force people to like things. It's easy as that.
