We know from the MF outline that Han tells Leia that Rey is worth saving.

It appears more and more likely that Rey is Luke's daughter.

After Luke rescues Han from Jabba's Palace, Han says "Now I owe you one..."

Han goes to save Rey with Finn to pay back this debt to Luke, that is, by saving his daughter.

That makes Han sound kind of douchey. Welllll he DID save my life from 1000 years of digestion so I gueeessss I should go save his daughter if I haaaaave to. Ugggggh but Leiaaaaaa I don't want to.

Han is the reluctant hero. He would risk his life to save anyone, much less a young girl in danger. He might act like he doesn't care, but when the chips are down he comes through.

    :pOr occam's razor.
The simplest explanation is the correct one.

Han is getting to know Rey just as we, the audience, are.
And han has to explain to Leia the things he has seen in her and has seen her do - that she is our new heroine.

(I guess i have been jumping from thread to thread spouting my "rey is nobody" crap all day. I can't help it, y'all. I want people to love this movie. And am so fearful of the backlash. I see merit for any of the Rey theories, of course. But sadly i feel like me and one or two other people have even considered the possibility that she is not luke's child, or leia's child, but a new chosen one who will rise from nothing to acts of heroism. )

I do look forward to being right, though....

    :p:D

I just hope Han doesn't die before getting to see Luke again. This is just crazy.

I bet he honestly DOESNT care until he realizes who Rey actually is, and he's like, "AWW MOM DONI HAVE TO....fiiiiine" And goes and saves her .
