Let's hear your craziest theories about what we'll see in the Kenobi series. They don't need to be plausible. They don't even need to be good.

    I'll kick us off

    1. Kitster Strikes Back

We'll probably be spending some quality time on Tatooine, and I've always wanted to see what Kitster is up to today.

And not just for the fan-service of it! Kitster makes a great foil for Vader. He's an image of what would have become of Anakin had he stayed on Tatooine. And he's one of the few in the galaxy who knows Anakin's true history.

    2. I'm Luke Lars and I'm here to rescue you

I don't know if it contradicts any current canon, but I would love to see this little head canon validated.

People always say, "If they were trying to hide Luke, why would they still call him Skywalker?"

Well, what if they didn't? What if he actually went by Luke Lars as a child?

If that's the case, then the moment on the Death Star when he says "I'm Luke Skywalker and I'm here to rescue you" gains new importance. He's intentionally taking his father's name for the first time, announcing himself as a Jedi-to-be.

    3. Justice for Uncle Owen

Uncle Owen gets a bad rap. We like Obi-Wan, and he doesn't, so we don't like him. He makes Luke stay when we want Luke to go.

I hope we get to see Owen's side of the argument. Think about it from his perspective: Jedi are being hunted. Anakin has become the galaxy's greatest Jedi hunter. You have been entrusted with this force-sensitive child, and he's a son to you. And now this old Jedi wants to drag your son into a life of danger? A life that could spell Luke's death?

I think Uncle Owen does what he does because he really loves Luke. And I hope we get to see that come out in a heated argument with Obi-Wan.

    4. Cyborg Mace Windu wants to use Luke as bait to kill Vader

Okay, this one is admittedly a stretch. But we're going crazy, right?

Imagine if Mace really does return. When we last left him, he was willing to resort to violence and murder to stop Palpatine.

So what happens when old grizzled Mace learns that Obi-Wan is hiding away on a desert planet, protecting Vader's son?

Mace would see Obi-Wan as a sentimental coward. He would want to reveal Luke's identity to lure Vader into a trap and finally destroy the Sith.

Obi-Wan, of course, would be forced into a dilemma. His need to protect Luke would put him at direct odds with Mace. If he lets Mace leave his hut, Mace will reveal Luke's identity to the galaxy.

That's it for me. Am I nuts? Am I onto something? And more importantly, what are YOUR wildest speculations?

This! I had a similar idea for quite some time:

This is a guarantee for me. I expect to learn more about the relationship between Obi-Wan and Owen.

The Windu theory is wild! I'm usually in the camp of not wanting Windu to return, but that could really be interesting!

I don't have too wild of any theories, but it would be interesting to have a Cam Monaghan easter egg if Kenobi is going through files of Jedi that might have survived the purge.

Confirm the crackpot theory that Korkie is Satine and Obi-Wan's lovechild! That and Qui-Gon Jinn's voice at some point during the show are the only two things I can semi-reasonably ask for. I don't think the former will happen, but I'd love for it to be true; and the latter feels more like a guarantee, but you can never tell with Lucasfilm as their idea of "guarantee" and the fan idea don't always align.

    Plus one on these two!

I'm not as sold on this one. I can see it happening, but I can't see it being executed well; and at this point, I'm not sure if I'd rather have Lucasfilm play it risky or safe...

    YES. YES YES YESSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!

Wildest expectation of mine ? LUKE GOES IN SEARCH OF HIS PAST.
Luke learns one day he is not a Lars : he is a Skywalker.
He goes in search of his past and his history, because he wants to find out who were his father and mother.
Tatooine is not so big, and not so populated : he will inevitably learn about a certain Anakin Skywalker, because that name does have a meaning to him. Perhaps will he meet an aged Kitster, who will reveal him the story of his former friend, an outstanding young human pilot. Kitster can witness Anakin won one of the biggest pod races, during the republic era, then left Tatooine shortly after his victory, never came back, and furthermore, never reappeared in any upcoming pod race.
Note : the supposed Anakin's piloting skill, and the name, are what drive Luke, because of his own name and piloting abilities.
Furthermore, Luke one day will know who is lying under the grave near the Lars homestead : his grandmother Shmi.
Luke has to speak in order to get some information from Owen, Beru, Obiwan, Kitster, and the wildest cameo of all : Watoo.

Since Ewan has revealed that Kenobi has somewhat lost his faith or had it shaken during this period in the story, I have a feeling that it may tie in with the reason that Tatooine seems to be a blind spot to Vader and the Empire by the time of Episode IV. In an effort to keep his promise to watch over Luke, Obi-Wan is unable to help a fellow Jedi, or compelled to leave them to their fate when the Empire discovers them there. Once that has happened, Tatooine is considered cleansed of any Jedi remnants, leaving Kenobi in the clear. Not a wild guess at this stage. But it's still pretty awful to think about Ben having to hide and to not help one of his own.

And Lars is going to save Obi-Wan's arse for him at some point. Lars may even give Kenobi the name Ben and pass him off as his black sheep cousin/brother in order to keep up the subterfuge.

What I'm most keen to find out is how they explain Luke keeping the name Skywalker. On Tatooine of all places.

    Like this one. Interesting.
Every thing is told to tie scenes, dialogs, circumstances, stories... that not affect the context or anything and gives good interpretations, is always welcomed.

    My wildest speculations?
Don't know, my hyped has decreased a little bit since the trailer (cool, but nothing special) and that Disney has said first approaches for Obi-Wan where so dark but they changed it.

Thinking fast am going to say:

    -connections with Andor and Rebels
    -visit Alderaan and The Organas
-visit Dagobah and the green little one
    -writing/reading Jedi books from ST
-some clues to clone Grogu thing
-And, why not, just for fun, the last couple of Jedi around being killed in a very brutal way and give certain information that there are the last ones (except, of course, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Ashoka, Kanan... there are more?)

-ok, last one, last one. Vader hiring bounty hunters (you know, Boba, Dengar, 4-Lom and company) cause the Inquisitors are so bad in their jobs and they need good assistants.

Something to do with Han & Chewy. A cameo, them walking by in the streets, shooting at Storm Troopers while pulling a heist, the Falcon flying by/blasting off in the background.

A cloaked figure appears and approaches Ben's home on Tatooine. Ben comes to the entrance to watch as the figure comes close and stops, facing him. The figure lowers their hood revealing a Mandalorian helmet. Ben waits patiently as the helmet comes off revealing a young man who looks a bit apprehensive.
Ben recognizes him immediately. "Hello there."
"General Kenobi." The man replies, speaking quickly. "I don't know if you would remember me, but..."
"Korkie Kryze, of course." Ben responds with a kind smile. "What can I do for you, Korkie?"
Korkie seems to be searching for the right words for a moment. "My Aunt Bo-Katan told me."
    "What did she tell you?"
"She said that Aunt Satine was actually my mother and..." Korkie takes a deep breath. "And...you...are my father."

Inquisitors mistaken Jar-Jar as a force sensitive and puts us all out of our misery.
    Yowie!

Inquisitor(s) senses a child who is strong w/ the force and hunts him down only to be taken care of by a 'crazy old man'...(dad) IE- Kenobi wouldn't be on Tatooine if there was a legit threat to Luke

You're on to something here. KK teased a possible season 2.

If S2 occurs, Vader (the fans will demand it) must be part of it and a Kenobi/Vader round #3 wouldn't make any sense.. but Windu/Vader does.
Perfect subplot.. have Windu meet w/ Kenobi then setting off for his revenge against Vader. Kenobi can go about his business (protecting Luke or other Jedi mission)
yet still have Windu/Vader part of the story

Not a prediction but I would love to see Kenobi go back to Coruscant to sneak into the guarded Jedi Temple to retrieve either a holocron or other Jedi artifact.

Any chance of seeing this ship again? My old brain is getting fuzzy….was this ship lost at the beginning of ROTS?

I have written more detail in the thread “Kenobi vs. Vader Part Deux”, but I am sticking to a sensible, but wild, theory:

Vader and Kenobi’s duel (at least the final one in the show) is NOT real. It is an illusion from the Priestesses (like that Yoda Clone Wars arc) as a final test to allow Kenobi to have access to the knowledge of becoming a Force Ghost.

Here's a little wild speculation after seeing the first three episodes:

Obi Wan is going to live through a timeline where the Battle of Yavin never happens and Luke and Leia never learn about their parentage and are never trained as Jedi. In the end, however, he finds out about the "World Between Worlds" as a means of resetting the timeline and making things turn out differently. This is why he looks like he's aged forty years in just twenty, he actually is that much older, he just went back in time and will have re-lived events by the time of ANH.
