I hope it will. We really need to revisit a prequel or two, and bring in a lot of classic aliens. Canto Bight and it's 300 slug aliens really threw off the usual tone of Star Wars.

I get the feeling that TROS takes part in another part of the galaxy out past the outer rim towards wild space, I don't think we will see any inner rim planets such as Coruscant. From the trailer, we see remnants of destroyed death star (2nd Death Star possibly) on planet moon of Endor or another planet near the moon of Endor. Only two planets have been confirmed, Pasana and Kijimi, according to the Vanity Fair article, not that there won't be other planets to explore in the film. I don't know where in the Galaxy these planets are located, but I have a feeling it is out towards the outer rim or wild space. I would love for Coruscant to appear, maybe in a flashback in regards to Emperor Palpatine, but I don't see our new three protagonists (Rey, Finn, Poe) stepping foot on Coruscant. Although Tatooine would be great to see our new heroes have an adventure there, it would feel redundant, since we have a desert planet of Pasana in the TROS. If Coruscant and Tatooine appear in the TROS, it would most likely be in a flashback or forceback moment. I am trying really hard to curb any expectations and let TROS wash over me as I watch it. I just want to enjoy the film, it is fun to speculate, but I try to speculate with caution.

I still remember someone involved in the ST production saying we'd see 4 classic Star Wars planets.

So far, we've seen zero, right?

Granted, that may no longer be the case, and maybe it was nothing more than a rumor to begin with.

If he included the Spin offs then it's one so far. Coruscant in Jynn Erso's dream.

And Mustafar, in Rogue One as well.

(Plus Corellia, in Solo, if that counts, maybe Mimban too).

But I'm pretty sure the original quote was specifically about the sequel trilogy. I'll see if I can find it.

edit: This piece from 2017 lists 3 instead of 4, and makes it clear that the information is kinda sketchy. Personally, I don't think this information is really current anyway, but it's interesting it was at least a rumor at one point.

Oh, we've definitely seen Cloud City (which I assume counts as Bespin?) in the Forceback. The rainy-night world could be anywhere, I guess? And, we have no idea where Luke's academy was, right? It is POSSIBLE, although unlikely, that we saw three established SW planets in that Forceback sequence.

Hmm, interesting. I hadn't considered those counting, but that's a good point.

I think that Coruscant is less likely but, if it has to do with Palpatine, then Naboo is really more likely.

If "Flash Fights" are a thing. Then it really sounds like they intend a taste of everything. So who knows. I am just trying to keep an open mind about the fact that the "Flash Fights" or whatever sound way too far out there for SW.

I hope we learn a little bit more about Coruscant in supplementary stuff. Maybe an animated series after this trilogy is wrapped.

For those who haven't read a lot of the books and comics, the Jedi Temple was converted into the Imperial Palace for Palpatine.

    Via Wookieepedia:
To celebrate his victory, the Emperor established his personal residence in the High Council's tower, converting the Jedi Temple into the Imperial Palace. It would serve as his center of power throughout the Imperial Era in which the Jedi was all but forgotten, its millennia of traditions erased by the Sith Lord who had destroyed the Order.

It appeared in the comic interpretation of the Thrawn (2017) book from Marvel:

It can also be seen in the background of the Victory Celebration sequence at the end of Return of the Jedi:

Hope this cleared up some confusion in regards to Coruscant and the temple while also shedding some new light on additional canon material leading up to The Rise of Skywalker.

The ST seems to kind of shy away from PT so while i hope that we see it, I do not think that we will.

The focus shifted more from Coruscant in the days beyond the Empire because canonically the New Republic shifted it's homeworld every few years. We just happened to see it intact (and not so intact) at Hosnian Prime during the days of The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Resistance. Former homeworlds in canon material are Chandrila and Nakadia.

We got a glimpse into what Chandrila looks like in a post-Imperial poster promoted around the Aftermath novels:

I really do hope we get to see more of Coruscant. That might be my favorite planet in the GFFA. I'd also like to see more of the classic Star Wars aliens.

My suspicion is that we will not. If I was betting credits on it I would bet we won’t see Coruscant
