Will Disney Recast Luke Skywalker?

Yes! And call it Episode 7 and pretend like Episode 7 is actually episode...nevahappened.

 

I’m totally okay with a cameo, but if Luke Skywalker is getting utilized in a film, there’s a very good chance it’s going to be more than a cameo. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to it if it’s done tastefully. I agree wth @PrincessLeiaCB3 that having a young Luke appear in the Kenobi standalone film would be a good idea, but again, it’s a really tricky situation. Disney has to be sure they can get it right, otherwise, they shouldn’t risk it.

 

I remember reading a story a while ago that said if all goes well with Alden Ehrenreich in the first Solo movie that they planned to do several movies with him... that Solo would kind of be like Iron Man in that it kicks off slew of movies that build around it. If that is indeed the plan and all goes well then it makes sense that they would recast both Luke and Leia.

 

Sebastian Stan should play a young Luke in a prequel movie/TV series.

 

Depends on the movie's setting.

 

If they make a live action TV show about Luke, I can see a recast happening.

If they won't, that's because they don't want a Luke movie. After Han, I think every recasting is possible, because he's arguably the toughest one to do. Sure, it's a younger version, but he's not young enough to warrant a completely different version of the character, which was the case for PT Obi-Wan (casting a young version of an old character is the easiest).
