I know that in RO, it gave Rebels easter eggs it showed Chopper and mentioned Hera. I'm still on the fence if Kanan, Zeb, Ezra, or Sabine will die by the end of the series. Can you guys give me good reasons why it will happen?

I Know in RO it showed Chopper and mentioned Hera but do we really believe that Dave Filoni will kill off a majority of the characters before the series is over? I'm still on the fence, so can you guys help me make a decision of yes a majority of the Ghost crew will die or no they will all be alive by the time the series is over?

I dont think theyd do a repetition of the character arcs from R1 but will have them walk off into the distance at the end similar to the original ending of return of the jedi for luke

Before we discuss this, maybe this should be placed in the rebels thread.

After watching R1 and how involved the Rebels can be is a mystery. Rebels alone can be a stand alone it self due to the easter eggs and scenes in the series. The fact is that they can still be alive during the OT. Would they do that, IDK. They killed off the R1 crew cause to me it seem right to. Rebels holds its own due to the fact they have a Jedi(Kanan), Ezra, Maul, Dark saber reference (Sabine), Leia, Bail, obi, Yoda, Vader, tarkin and now saw. The line that all you guys can think upon is "The Jedi are all but extinct" it just makes it seem possible that Kanan and the rebels crew can survive as it's own entity within the OT. "The last of the Jedi you will be." Can refer that Luke is the last one knighted one and that Erza could or couldn't be a Jedi. That's what I think of now if it can happen.

I personally think some or even most of them will die. I think (in my own mind) that Ezra will survive, and as we NOW KNOW, Hera was alive during R1 and theoretically into the OT era...what happened to her after that...million dollar question, for sure.

As for Ezra, what happens to him is something that I still debate (if he survives) in my mind. He could perhaps pull an Ahsoka and just walk away from the teachings after Kanan is killed, and as he's the same age as Luke, might just show up in 8 or 9 and introduce himself....probably not that easily though!

As much as it pains me, I think that Kanan will die, probably defending Ezra (or the entire crews) life...maybe even at the hands of Vader himself, which is something that I can EASILY see happening.

As for the rest of the crew...how...unknown, just a gut feeling.

I see it this way. Hera and Chopper are alive and well. Zeb? He might be gone by the end of this season, and at least by the next. He's fulfilled his destiny, and he hasn't done much since then. Kanan? He's a Jedi, but more of a teacher now than anything else. So, I can see him die somewhere during season 4 or 5. It's too early now, IMO. Ezra, I think is hinted as walking in the middle, like the Bendu. Until he reaches that, he'll go through some trials. Seeing as how the second half of season 3 is about Sabine and Mandalore, I see the fact that he's pushed aside, as well as some lingering darkness/issues with the Ghost crew might force him to just leave, temporarily. He's too me more of an adventurous pirate like Hondo, than a true soldier. Can I see him dying in this season? No way. But will he leave the show for a while? I think so, but that's just a gut feeling.

As for Sabine? She's either gonna rule Mandalore, or she's gonna die a famous artist. Could it be both? I'm quite honestly dying to find out and have her become my favorite character with actual development. I think she's the real key to the show itself, besides Thrawn and his mysterious future.
