Will the Antagonist(S) of these films be the Sith Army?

I always wanted a female antagonist (not necessarily a Sith though) too. This also the reason why I want to have at least one female KOR. But back to your topic. It would be pretty epic to see the Sith Army on the big screen. It could look very similar to the cinematic trailers of the Old Republic games.

 

The more Sith's the better for me! I can just picture all those glorious red lightsabers causing chaos!

 

Whole armies of lightsaber wielders going at each other is something I personally would never like to see on screen... This is such a cheesy idea. I cringe when I see that Jedi Temple TOR cinematic, it looks like it was directed by a 12-year-old. Sorry, I know I'm in the minority, don't kill me!

What KotOR (the first game) did was more interesting IMO. The Sith had their infantry and so on. Similarities to the Empire could be toned down, but overall it's a better approach IMO.

 

We had Phasma. Antagonist would be a strong word for her though.

 

Let's be more precise then: a female villain with a face and an actual character.

In TOR, I'd love to see this. And just to clarify for those who may not be familiar with TOR, a "Sith Army" doesn't necessarily mean billions of lightsaber toting sith running around (which I think could be bad). It actually looks a lot like the Empire- albeit, certainly with more sith still.

For instance, here you can see a Sith admiral flanked by two dark side acolytes.



Or here, two Sith Lords with the bulk of their army (sith troopers)


I guess in a way, it's almost like the opposite of the Republic's model during the CW of using Jedi with Clone Troopers- only in TOR, both sides use a similar model, so I think it's more interesting.

Haha, I'd be careful casually mentioning the YV around here- some people are still pretty sore over them.

But a lost tribe of sith is a really interesting idea!

Yeah, I'd like to see at least a trilogy set long before the prequels about the Jedi VS. the Sith. The Sith Army would be a pretty cool threat, as they'd be kinda remniscent to other antagonist forces we've seen in Star Wars but still really unique. I think it'd be so cool to see an army of Jedi VS. an army of Sith in a massive battle on the big screen. (Sorry @srg, I think that TOR-cinematic-type stuff looks so epic... )

 

If they choose to make this, I just hope they choose to adapt the existing material from the old Star Wars Legends.

These two guys are great at adapting stuff, but they are terrible at writing original ideas. Game of Thrones proves this.

 

I would love to see a sith army. I think this would be a great opportunity to explore the beginning of the sith (or Jedi). It would be awesome to see something like the Great Hyperspace war or something similar to the Brotherhood of Darkness. Lead up to the 7th battle of Ruusan the beginning of Bane's new sith and rule of two.

Feel as if I'm in the same boat as all of you, would love to see a movie centred around the Sith, following the short snippet of the Imperial army etc in Solo, it got me thinking about a movie that provides an in-depth insight into the days of the Sith around the time of the Old Republic, and the Great Hyperspace War. A movie where we could see them from another perspective that isn't the from the Republic

I agree with all of the comments above. However, as much as I want to see Old Republic stuff, the fact remains: Disney has neither bought the rights to KOTOR or forced the game-makers to discontinue. This tells me the Old Republic is an era they are not interested in at the moment.
