I always thought this would be interesting; Finn returning to the first order to liberate any would be followers.

Perhaps it would be cool to see some sort of force cataclysm. I guess along the lines of an Old Republic Sith Thought bomb times a million or something. Like the ultimate destructive force weapon or something along those lines.

Those who disliked choices for Snoke's story and his demise are clearly not seeing the bigger picture.
If Snoke survived TLJ, everybody would know that he would die in EP IX and the whole movie would be predictable.

This way we have an uncharted territory in terms of the story going forward and this, my fellow friends, is really exciting.
Although some of his moves we're unpopular in TLJ, Rian Johnson actually did what he had to give as exciting conclusion to sequel trilogy.

And no, I don't think that there will be some kind of superweapon in IX.
The last movie will be all about Ben and Rey, and that's some exciting stuff. ;)

Maybe the next superweapon could be based off that large door blasting weapon used at the end of TLJ, but as a larger space based version built into a large star destroyer? Although smaller and less powerful than Starkiller Base or Death Stars, the First Order really has no opposition at this point in time with the entire Rebellion consisting only of a tiny group of people in a battered old freighter.

Maybe. That's kinda like the dreadnought's canon already.

It's not like either was a planet killer, but both were very devastating.

After watching TFA I imagined Starkiller Base would return (in some form) just as the Death Star returned in ROTJ.

I designed this version for fun:

My idea was for it to be a mobile Starkiller Base that gathered energy from small stars, clashed it (similar to a particle collider, but with Star Wars magic) and released it as a powerful beam.

That's a really cool and unique design. I'm a fan!

Slightly reminds me of Sunspot Prison.

Thanks! My main concern was that it would probably be too big. But with the Death Star being the size of a moon, and Starkiller Base being inside a planet, I suppose something as large as a star might be the next logical step, haha. After all... this is Star Wars!

True! I think if anything, the First Order appears to be far from frugal. I bet they could swing it!

    There better not be.

In fact, I hope the Falcon comes out of hyperspace and someone says "It's another StarKiller Base!" and then someone else says "that's no StarKiller Base.... it's a moon." or something.... =)
